I believe that an athletes ability is only limited by themselves. So as a coach, I care about all my athletes and help to make them mentally strong and determined to try and to be the best version of themselves in all areas of their life

Officially only two weeks to go…

For the past 12 months, this race has been at the forefront of my mind. Last year’s DNF hurt. aA mechanical issue during the bike which wasn’t anything I could have predicted or prevented. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t dwell on it for a while in the months afterwards. It sucked 👎

And it’s been tough. It hasn’t been perfect. There have been some physical health issues along the way that I’ve had to deal with privately. Not to mention the unspoken truth of being a 35-year-old single guy who spends a lot of time on his own, without much of a social life, simply because of where everyone else’s lives around me are.

Then, just this last week, other circumstances in your life suddenly change 🤷🏼‍♂️

Either way, race day will be what it will be. I hope it shows the work that I’ve put in, but I know Ironman Wales is a separate beast.

Looking forward to being on that start line again and seeing plenty of familiar faces over the event weekend.

See you soon Tenby 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Love being able to test new products. Especially when it’s something completely new to the market and unlike anything else.

This is the new Gel Mix 480, that is available at .

As a coach, I think it’s really important to understand and know the products out on the market to help the athletes coaches make better informed decisions. Especially when sports nutrition plays such a key part in training and racing.

So when the opportunity came out to trial this new product which sits between a drink mix and gel became available, it was important to try for myself!

Something I definitely will plan to use in my racing going forward.

Feel free to ask any questions below you may have and I’ll help as best as possible 👇🏼

Felixstowe Triathlon 🥇🏆

First time ever leading from start to finish, and to top it off, recording the fastest swim, bike and run splits of the day 😬🙌

Super happy to be back in the sub-20-minute club for a 1500m open water swim, especially considering the currents weren’t exactly in our favour. Perfect preparation for Ironman Wales! My new wetsuit from Orca was absolutely spot on. Huge thank you to Rockfield Payroll for helping me fund it after my previous suit ripped during my last race 🙏

At the time, I didn’t think I’d had a particularly great bike leg. There were countless tight turns, loads of road furniture, and even three complete stops because of junctions and roadworks. Despite that, I managed to extend my lead from just 20 seconds out of the swim to around 4½ minutes by T2.

That gave me a comfortable cushion heading onto the run. Before the race, I’d promised myself that if I was leading, I’d keep the bigger picture in mind and avoid digging too deep. With Ironman Wales just around the corner, the priority was to run within myself and recover well enough to get straight back into training this week.

A controlled 38:25 10km was enough to extend the lead to almost six minutes by the finish 🙌

A fun race to break up the Ironman build, and most importantly, a great trip down to Suffolk to catch up with Davina Johnston & Iain Johnston.

Now it’s time for the final eight-week push towards Ironman Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿💪

It’s been a big few weeks! So much so, I haven’t got round to sharing everyone’s results over May & June until now. Especially with my own race in there 😂 social media posts always come last in the coaching priority if I’m honest, not for any other reason than actually spending spend on and with the athletes always comes first!

It’s been a huge month for PB’s / First timers achieving things they previously never thought was possible / Age Group, Overall podiums and world championship qualifiers 💪 something I’ve been extremely proud of!

You name it, coaching is for everyone regardless of where you are in your journey 🙌

Nobody will truly understand how much this one meant to me this weekend 🙌

Slateman Legend (70.3 distance), you did not disappoint. That run course was every bit as brutal as I’d heard. But another amazing event by Always Aim Higher Events

Thank you for everyone who messaged me before and after the event, it means a lot knowing those that support me and wish me well 🫶

And a special mention to LBT Facades, Rockfield Payroll & LB Physiotherapy who continue to support me in 2026 🙏
