Been a busy few months on the course for the team! From extreme dryness to thunder downpours! This year we have had all weather thrown at us ☀️⛈️

During our normal cutting schedule we have been busy with a few other jobs, new steps at the 11th white tee, the constant battle with the bunkers and the liner popping through, the extreme dry has cause a lot of the bunker sand to blow out of the bunkers exposing the liners, we have been topping them up with sand and cutting any liner we see.

It’s been great to see the course so busy! ⛳️ sometimes not always with golfers! Thanks to the farmers for the help with the escaped cows!

It’s starting to feel like summer has arrived! Even if we did miss out of a spring!

The recent warm weather and regular rainfall have certainly kept us busy, with the grass growing at a rapid pace across the course. Our team has been working hard to stay on top of mowing and presentation standards, including continued cutting of the deep rough to keep it well maintained.

Alongside course maintenance, we have been making further progress on our irrigation system to ensure the course remains in the best possible condition throughout the season. We have also been carrying out targeted w**d control around the course, spraying w**d killer where needed to help maintain healthy turf and tidy playing areas.

A busy couple of weeks on the course for us!

The warm weather has arrived and we are now seeing everything in full growing mode ⛳️

The greens have had a topdressing, and a couple of the slower starting greens have had an over seed, we then applied an organic fertiliser to help speed up the process.

We have been upgrading the sprinkler heads around some of the greens to help with better water coverage.

Damaged surrounds!

During the winter we dug up and removed the stones and gravel from a few of our aprons, backfilled with soil and then put in fresh turf, with the growing season starting to kick into action we are seeing the benefit of this work done through the winter.

During the summer we will continue this work, but in smaller batches. There is almost no soil underneath the aprons, and because of this it leads to them being bare and very dry.

The patches will be spiked and filled with rootzone to help hold water, then seeded and watered to try and create some growth!
