MESSAGE FROM JOHNNY DAVIDSON.

I’ve held on to this message for a few days and wanted to wait until my Tourette’s Action fundraiser was just about to begin before sharing it, to serve as a reminder for why I’m about to begin the most physically trying challenge of my life.

I’ll be doing every single class on the PureGym Blyth timetable for an entire week to raise money for . All the support so far has been overwhelming, and to receive words of encouragement from John Davidson MBE, the actual figurehead of Tourette’s Awareness, is the icing on the cake.

The challenge starts tomorrow. Here goes nothin…

British Airways s**t the bed this week.

Today’s post was originally gonna be a positive one, about a message I received that reminded me exactly why I’m doing this fundraiser for . Instead, Tourette’s is in the news again and it isn’t good. But this negative story also serves as a reminder on why I’ve chosen to raise money for .

No one person at British Airways is to blame. But the fact that his happened during Tourette’s Awareness Month is just the topping on the dog s**te sundae that this young boy was served by the airline.

I hope that the CEO of Tourette’s Action’s response to this, which is far nicer than mine, encourages BA and every other company to train their staff better to deal with people who have Tourette’s.

My carbs and calories have ballooned to an insanely higher level than I’m used to lately.

But I’m not eating to lose weight, maintain weight, or put weight on at the minute. I’m eating for performance.

I’ll be doing every class on the timetable for an entire week starting next Monday June 1st and Sunday June 7th. All to raise money for during

I’m so humbled and appreciative of every social media share & donation I’ve received so far. And there’s still plenty time to donate: https://justgiving.com/page/its-lee-the-pt.

If you have any questions on why this diet specifically is needed for my current goals, I’m a PT remember. Just message and ask.

My charity fundraiser challenge begins next week. From Monday June 1st to Sunday June 7th I’ll be taking part in every single class on the timetable.

It’s bound to be the most physically challenging thing I’ve ever done.

This is all to raise as much money as possible for , who sent a fundraiser pack recently which I’ll be using during challenge week.

If you’d be so kind and sexy as to contribute to the thing that will make my week of physical torture worth it, here’s the JustGiving donation link: https://justgiving.com/page/its-lee-the-pt

There’s also a free cake giveaway courtesy of linked to this fundraiser. Search her page and check out her post from May 13th.

(There was a lot more in the pack than what’s shown in this video. But I didn’t want it to be 20 minutes long)

This whole road has been full of all sorts of twists and turns since I started speaking openly about my Tourette’s and how it can affect people’s confidence in the gym.

Now the Northumberland Gazette have done a story on the fundraiser I’ll be doing to raise money for Tourettes Action. So far it’s resulted in quite a few donations from strangers and anonymous donors, so I’m pleased that someone at the Gazette saw the work I’ve been doing on the socials.

Go ahead and read through it, if you’re arsed: https://www.northumberlandgazette.co.uk/community/blyth-personal-trainer-takes-on-fitness-challenge-to-raise-awareness-of-tourettes-8551466

And even if you’re not arsed enough to read, donate to the fundraiser anyway: https://justgiving.com/page/its-lee-the-pt

Lisa here had her first session with me today as part of my offer for 5 free sessions, available to anyone who suffers from Tourette’s, tics, or other similar conditions.

A busy mother and successful salon owner, Lisa didn’t experience any issues with tics until her 40s. Her FND (functional tics) was a unique side effect of getting Covid back during lockdown. She was also diagnosed with high blood pressure as a result of Covid.

None of that stopped her from coming in today and absolutely nailing her first session with me though! Keep an eye out for some highlights of the session which I’ll be posting soon.

REMINDER - I’m offering 5 FREE PT SESSIONS out every single month to anyone affected by these conditions. Hopefully a few hours training with me can help you eventually train on the gym floor confidently on your own.
