East Northumberland U12 3-1 Sheffield U12
A great game on a sunny morning in Blyth saw Sheffield make the trip up for the ESFA National Champions Cup game. Last seasons champions of the North East met the champions of Yorkshire.
A very intense start from East Northumberland led to a goal in the first 90 seconds, a good run and shot from Riley saw Henry on hand to tap in the rebound.
A good 20 mins followed with lots of possession without really creating any clear cut chances. Sheffield equalised right on half time after a goalmouth scramble.
The second half was end to end. East North were pressing for the winner with Harrison coming close, Billy and Henry both testing the GK from range. East North scored the decisive goal. A great free kick from Henry smashed against the crossbar, Billy reacted quickest to find the back of the net.
The third soon followed with a great ball from Will out to Louie who wriggled his way through and from a tight angle finished into the corner.
Great game and a good 3 pts for East North.
