Another win, and another clean sheet today.
Defensively solid from the off once again, and some excellent football played throughout the game.
We dominated possession for the most part, but only managed a one nil lead at the break through a penalty.
Second half we came out strong again, and eventually found a second to seal the game up.
Starting to find our form again this season, and get things back on track.

We would like to wish Whickham all the best for the remainder of the season!

As always thanks to our sponsors this season Jim Gray (GrayBuild) and Martin Lee Trinder (Lennon Properties) for the continued support!

After falling to a four nil home defeat earlier in the season, we were desperate for revenge today. We came out on top in the first half, leading at the break, despite Chemfica growing into the game towards half time.
We came out for the second half playing some excellent football again, and put the game to bed.
A much needed win in the league and clean sheet today, and hopefully these last few results can kickstart our season back to the levels we know we can reach.

We would like to wish Chemfica all the best for the remainder of the season!

Back to winning ways as we progress in the cup. A dominant performance against a battling Fawdon.
An early goal, and three to the good at half time, before Fawdon pegged one back. But we responded almost instantly to recover a three goal cushion, before adding a fifth midway through the second half.
Plenty chances missed on our end, but credit to Fawdon who battled till the end.

We would like to wish Fawdon all the best for the remainder of the season!

A poor start and a sloppy ten minutes handed Two Pennies an early lead from a set piece which wasn’t dealt with. We fought back with some great wing play throughout the first half and went into the break with a one goal lead.

Second half, Two Pennies stepped up again, and levelled the game with a great strike from outside the box. Then, a red card left us with a half hour to play with just ten men. We held on pretty well, but the pressure kept on mounting, and with just five minutes remaining, Two Pennies found a winner.

Plenty of chances missed again from us, and definitely not the result we deserved this morning. Onto next week, where we continue our search for our first win of the season.

We would like to wish Two Pennies all the best for the remainder of the season!

Back from a break tomorrow as we travel to Two Pennies in the league.

We are still searching for our first win of the season, after two draws and a disappointing defeat last week, and the Two Pennies have started well, with two wins from their opening three games.
A point to prove from us this weekend, in what will no doubt be a tough game against a good side.

Huge thanks to our sponsors Jim Gray (GrayBuild) and Martin Lee Trinder (Lennon Properties) for their renewed support this season!

Blyth Spartans JFC 0-4 Newcastle Chemfica Sunday Team

A desperately bad day at the office. From nil nil at half time, our depleted squad saw the team collapse. And despite us forcing a couple of saves, Chemfica fully deserved their big win.

Major improvement required across the board!

We would like to wish Chemfica all the best for the remainder of the season!

A good point against a very strong side in Kings Arms FC this morning, which prior to kick off, we’d have probably taken.
Again we took an early lead, but a resilient and well organised Kings Arms were soon fighting back, before equalising with a good set piece delivery to the back post just before half time.
Overall it was a great end to end game, and given the circumstances, we feel like we could have took all three points this morning, after finishing the game playing against ten men.
Plenty to like about this morning, but that’s all three conceded this season from set pieces.
Positives to take and things to work on, so another good 90 minutes in every aspect.

We would like to wish Kings Arms all the best for the remainder of the season!

After taking a lead from a set piece in the first couple of minutes, it all started to go pear shaped soon after. By our standards, today was very poor from the off, but credit where credit is due to Wallsend who took advantage of that where possible.
They fought back and scored from a set piece of their own, before we took a second chance well to lead at the break.
A sloppy second half and some silly free kicks given away, then saw us concede again from another set piece.
Both teams could argue that there were chances to score a couple more at least, and on another day, we probably would have scored a couple more.
But it’s early days, in a more competitive division, and after a one game pre-season, it may take us a few weeks to get the ball rolling again as we know we can.
The lads are very disappointed with today’s result and look to make amends next week against Kings Arms, at our new home pitch.

We would like to wish Wallsend Rangers all the best for the remainder of the season!

Back after a pre-season in which we remained undefeated with a convincing victory in our sole outing.

Tomorrow marks the step up in division, with our first league game since promotion. No doubt that this will be a tough test against a team who finished a good sixth last season.
We look to build on an excellent first season in adult football, with a few changes to the squad.
As ever, we know that the season ahead will be no easy task, and we aim to hit the ground running tomorrow in hopefully another good season of football.

Huge thanks to our sponsors Jim Gray (GrayBuild) and Martin Lee Trinder (Lennon Properties) for their renewed support this season!
