⚽🎉 BLACKWOOD TOWN FC SUMMER FUN DAY & 2K FUN RUN 🎉⚽

📅 Saturday 11th July 2026
📍 Blackwood Showfields, NP12 1HZ
🕚 Fun Day Starts: 11:00am
🏃 2K Fun Run Starts: 1:00pm

Join us for a fantastic day of fun, football and fundraising as we bring the Blackwood Town FC family together!

🏃 2K FUN RUN
Please note that the Fun Run is exclusively for Blackwood Town FC players, their families and friends.

✔ Registration from 11:00am
✔ Fun Run starts at 1:00pm
✔ Fancy dress or Blackwood Town kit encouraged
✔ Medals for all participants
✔ Prize for our highest fundraiser

To take part, we ask participants to either:
• Raise a minimum of £5 sponsorship, or
• Pay a £5 entry fee on the day

⭐ Parent/Guardian running alongside a player? Only one sponsorship form or £5 entry fee is required per player and accompanying adult.

🎉 FUN DAY FOR EVERYONE
The wider community is welcome to come along, enjoy the atmosphere and support the club.

There will be:

🛍 STALL HOLDERS WANTED
We're looking for local businesses, crafters and community groups who would like to have a stall at our event.

💷 £10 per standard stall
💷 £20 per larger stall

This event is being held to help raise funds for Blackwood Town FC and keep monthly costs as affordable as possible for our players' families.

Blackwood Town FC is built by the people that volunteer behind the scenes just as much as those on the pitch.

We are looking for more players parents, supporters, and members of the local community to help shape the future of our club. Whether you can spare a few hours each month or would like to take on a more active role, there is a place for you .

No experience is necessary just enthusiasm and a willingness to help.

CURRENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

🔹 Equality Champion (All Teams) Lead the implementation of the PAWB Equality, Diversity and Inclusion framework across the club, ensuring football is accessible, welcoming and inclusive for everyone.

🔹 Section Coordinator – Mixed Mini/Junior (1 Vacancy) Act as the main link between teams within the section and the Club Secretary, helping to coordinate communication, league correspondence and organisational matters.

🔹 Fixtures Secretary – Senior Teams (1 Vacancy) Coordinate and manage club fixtures, liaising with leagues, managers and opposition clubs to confirm match arrangements and pitch availability.

🔹 Volunteer Coordinator (All Teams) Support and oversee coaches and volunteers, ensuring FAW requirements are met, encouraging development opportunities, and promoting a positive, safe and inclusive environment.

🔹 Events Committee Members (All Teams) Assist with planning and delivering tournaments, fundraising events, awards evenings, fun days and other club activities that strengthen our community spirit.

🔹 Vice Chairman Work closely with the Chairman and Club Secretary to help oversee the day-to-day running and strategic development of the club. Further information about this role is available on request.

With the new season fast approaching, the boys in our firsts (first picture) and seconds (second picture) teams have a busy schedule of pre-season friendlies lined up over the coming weeks. These matches will provide valuable game time, help build fitness levels, strengthen team chemistry, and give the squads the perfect opportunity to put their hard work into practice. We’re looking forward to testing ourselves against strong opposition and continuing our preparations ahead of what promises to be an exciting season for both. We hope to see plenty of support both home and away throughout our pre-season campaign.
