The first half was good! Physically we competed well with them.

Unfortunately in the second half Sophia had to sit it out due to an injury she sustained earlier in the week. Both Olivia and Angel stepped in to help the team out. 🩷 💙

Unfortunately in the second half we let them waltz through us on a few occasions leaving our keeper completely exposed and with an impossible task, which ultimately was our downfall today.

On a positive note….POTM went to Angel, who really bossed the midfield in the first half, and was ever present and at heart of everything we did!

Well done to our 🌋’s!!

A manic start to the game, with only 6 players on the pitch for 10 minutes or so - we had it all to do. The girls stayed compact though and dug in.

The cavalry then came marching over the hill and we grew in to the game and established a footing when the playing field was levelled up, with an eventual goal coming from our striker, Angel. ⚽️

Shout out to Olivia who scored a 🌎’y !! ⚽️

POTM went to Grace, who rocked up in her pink kit 🤣. Grace’s work rate has not gone unoticed in recent weeks and she executed some great link-up play with our forwards.

Rock solid at back Nowelly, really coming in to her own in that spot.

Sofia wasn’t called upon that often but got nailed by a bad tackle, and then pulled off two great saves and kept her concentration in Baltic conditions.

Both like a rock!!

POTM is getting so difficult as the 🌋’s go through the gears, so many contenders, recently.

What pleased me the most was the girls attitude. 🙌

Looking forward to see what the girls can do tomorrow 🌋

Superb game of football yesterday morning for the 🌋’s, and some great performances all over the pitch - with multiple POTM contenders!

A proper 🌋’s performance, which was pleasing to see particularly after some desperately unlucky results the last two weeks.

POTM went to Angel for an all-round performance she was superb, creating a real problem for the Wyre defence, also linking up play and working back too!

Excellent job by the girls, and a great grassroots game to be involved with!!

As we play our next fixture today and reflect on last week's game

Proud of how the girls performed!!

We had no subs and there were a few tired legs towards the end of the game after 50 mins of non-stop running.

There was some really good football played at times and we had a fair few chances.

POTM went to Lizzie, who never stopped upfront and showed real dynamism. 🌋

Much improved today and more like the 🌋’s we all know and love.

Slight change of formation today and we looked far more solid through the middle of the park.

We had two outstanding performers in Mila and Alana, and for that reason they shared POTM!! Well done girls!!

We grew in to the game but left ourselves too much to do again.

Player of the match went to Ana, who carried out the brief to the letter, she showed energy, and played well both in defence and midfield, and got a well deserved goal!!
