Another cracking training session in the midst of a Scottish heatwave for our 2020s ☀️

Our railway safety programme with Network Rail continued this week and the focus was a really important one in relation to the game they all love to play ⚽️

Electricity and the dangers of kicking footballs onto overhead lines ⚽️

With majority of players and coaches living in Bishopton which has one of the busiest train lines in Scotland running right through the middle of it, we were keen to emphasise the importance of this and the kids were keen to listen and learn.

The kids learned how important it is to be safe and careful when playing football near or whilst passing by railway tracks and overhead lines.

The programme has helped educate the kids on a very important topic and we are proud to have worked in conjunction with Network Rail to highlight this at our club and in our local area 🚆

Great to see the sun shining for tonight’s training session with our 2020s ☀️⚽️

Tonight also marked Week 4 of our railway safety programme supported by Network Rail, with the focus on why railway lines should never be entered and the dangers associated with this. Important lessons for the kids to learn while continuing to develop on the pitch each week.

Fantastic energy and effort from everyone tonight — well done all! 👏💛🚆

Another great training session tonight for our 2020s ⚽️👏

As part of our ongoing railway safety programme with Network Rail, this week’s focus was on the dangers of fast moving trains. The kids learned how important it is to stay alert around railway lines and why trains can be far quieter and faster than people expect.

Brilliant effort from everyone at training tonight both on and off the pitch! 💛🚆

Great session for our 2020s tonight at training 👏⚽️

As part of our weekly programme, the kids took part in Week 2 of the Network Rail railway safety sessions, learning about electricity and the dangers around railway lines. An important message delivered in a way the boys could understand and take on board.

It’s brilliant to see our young players learning valuable life lessons alongside their football each week.

A big thank you to Network Rail for providing these valuable resources and helping educate young people on railway safety. We’re looking forward to next week’s session!
