South Gower RFC is a thriving rugby football club situated in the village of Bishopston in Swansea.

Established in 1974 the club has 11 Junior teams (U6 to U16), a Youth team and a Senior men’s team who are competing in WRU Division 3 West Central.

Well… here we go again

The teams for next season’s Division 2 West Central have now been confirmed.

It’s set to be another competitive year, with a strong mix of sides across the league and some challenging fixtures both home and away. There’ll be a good balance of local games and tougher trips, as well as some physical contests throughout the season.

Plenty to look forward to as we build towards the new campaign.

NOTIFICATION OF PITCH MAINTENANCE ⚠️

Please be aware that maintenance work will be taking place at the club this weekend.

Herbicide treatment will be applied to the Touch pitch this morning and the car park tomorrow (Saturday 23 May), so we kindly ask that nobody uses the Touch pitch or car park until Monday. This includes players/coaches, members of the public, and dog walkers accessing the club grounds.

We’ll keep everyone updated on the next stages of the maintenance work in due course.

Despite the weather doing its best to put a dampener on events, our Minis and Juniors Presentation Day was a wonderful way to bring the season to a close, recognising all 11 of our teams for their efforts over the past nine months.

Congratulations to all our age groups and thank you to all our players, coaches, managers, parents and volunteers for your efforts again this season.

A big shout-out to the U14s, who reached the District Shield final, and the U16s, who signed off their junior rugby by winning the District Bowl.

Special thanks to the coaches and parents from our U9s for organising another memorable presentation day and to Councillor Lyndon Jones for supporting the event. And a big thank you to Alexis and the bar staff for their hard work throughout the day, to the volunteers from our U16s, Youth and Senior who kept the food coming on the BBQ, and to Jack Matthews from our U12s for DJing in the afternoon.

That marks the end of the 2025/26 season so enjoy the summer, and we look forward to seeing everyone back in September for another great season.

A massive well done to Tarynn Perry, Barney Rhys Jones, Callum Isaac-Clarke, and Bodhi Pinkerton from our U11s on representing Llwchwr Schools and Swansea Schools this season 👏🏉

All four players have enjoyed fantastic seasons, working hard and gaining valuable experience through representative-level training and competition, bringing added confidence and knowledge back to their team.
