We are incredibly proud of our U9 cricketers! 👏

🏏 Celebrating BWJS Cricket Success! 🏏

We are delighted to celebrate the fantastic achievements of several BWJS pupils at Bishop’s Waltham Cricket Club’s Under-9 end-of-season awards. Five of the six team award winners were BWJS children, which is an incredible achievement and a testament to their hard work, commitment and sportsmanship.

Congratulations to:

🏆 Mackenzie – Tornadoes Batter’s Award
🏆 Thomas – Tornadoes Bowler’s Award
🏆 Angus – Tornadoes Coaches’ Player
🏆 Rex – Hurricanes Coaches’ Player
🏆 Rufus – Hurricanes Batter’s Award and recipient of the prestigious Spirit of Cricket Award. Rufus was recognised by fellow players and parents for being passionate, kind, supportive and respectful, both on and off the pitch.

A special mention also goes to the Hurricanes team, who went on to win their league this season.

We are incredibly proud of all of these pupils for their achievements and for representing both their club and our school so positively. Well done, everyone! 👏🏏💙

We’re into the final stretch now on the penultimate weekend of the league season, and there’s still everything to play for as both our 1st XI and 2nd XI continue their push for promotion. Every run and every wicket counts at this stage, so good luck to everyone playing tomorrow.

🏏 BWCC Ladies are through to the W10 Tier 1 Cup Semi Finals!

A brilliant evening at Albany Road yesterday as our Ladies took on Whiteparish Ladies in the Quarter Final of the W10 Tier One Cup, with BWCC securing a well‑deserved win in a great game played in excellent spirit by both sides.

Bowling first, Hatty led the charge with three wickets, Maddie added two more, and the whole bowling attack kept things tight, with just seven wides and one no‑ball all innings, backed up by Claire behind the stumps with three excellent catches.

Having restricted Whiteparish to 261 from their 20 overs, the ladies then showed real composure with the bat. Despite losing the same number of wickets as Whiteparish, BWCC scored more off the bat, with six of our ten batters completing their innings without being dismissed.

Well done to all the players for a brilliant team effort, and thank you to everyone who came down to support.

Next stop: the semi finals on Finals Day, Sunday 6 September at Albany Road.

A big evening ahead at Albany Road as our Ladies W10 team host Whiteparish in the cup quarter‑final, starting at 6pm.

Spectators very welcome. Come along, enjoy the cricket, and cheer the team on.

Slightly late posting the results from the weekend, but worth the wait! All three senior teams picked up wins, with the 1st XI and 2nd XI keeping themselves firmly in the promotion hunt.

Strong performances in all teams, with not-out centuries for James (2nd XI) and Neil (3rd XI) and a ‘nearly but not quite’ not-out century for Luke. A fantastic weekend across the club🏏

Only a few weeks left of the season now, and there’s still plenty to play for! Here’s how we line up in the league this weekend.

The 1st XI head up the road to Purbrook, looking to make it four wins on the bounce. Meanwhile, the 2s and 3s are both hoping to make the most of home fixtures and bounce back from last week’s defeat. Best of luck to all three sides as we enjoy another weekend of cricket and look to finish the season with a flourish!
