Embleton Reel and Embleton Zu

I had the pleasure to groom for pudding and her owner/rider Tracy Williams who took 3rd place at royal Windsor horse show AND best turned out in their class!

To add to the excitement, I turned out and handled 3yo Zu at his SECOND ever show for Michelle Snooks, he was a very brave boy with lots of new things to look at, we wanted a positive experience and the famous river photo and what we got was a 4th place in a strong youngstock class and a wonderful confident young horse ❤️

Safe to say I’ve always loved the youngsters but I’m becoming a real Cleveland bay fan too!

10 years experience in the industry working as a groom from private yards and livery to at 4* FEI eventing yards.
Also experience in rehabilitation with a degree in equine rehab and therapy and qualified equine body worker.
Experience with all types of horses and disciplines inc eventing, dressage, show jumping and showing

The wonderful Shamus is the new kid on the block for clipping services, as well as my first clipping client of the year 😍

He was a little super star having a hunter clip using my Liveryman Black Beauties, Harmony Plus and Nova’s as well as a mane and tail tidy using my SoloComb and Solo Rake 🥰

Wash the horse 🧼🧼

Every winter we promote washing horses prior to clipping, this winter is no different 🛁🫧

WHY❓

📍Your horses comfort- prevents hair snagging and pulling
📍Your clipper- reduces strain on your machine
📍Your blades- helps longevity of blade sharpness
📍Finish- ultimately you will achieve a much better finish by washing prior to clipping

❌Avoid❌

➡️using any pre clip oils or coat sprays prior to
clipping these can coat your blades and cause them to generate heat.

There is no substitute for a good bath and or groom

*if you are in a situation where bathing and stabling prior to clipping isn't an option hot cloth every day in the run up to clipping and keep the horse adequately rugged so they are dry and clean- a thorough groom taking a full hour that works up a sweat then the day of clipping will suffice*
