That's a wrap for the 2025/26 season!

Unfortunately our final match of the season - Old Wulfs tomorrow - has been forfeited, as we were unable to obtain a pitch.

We would like to thank all of the players who have put on the shirt this season and given their all on the pitch on matchdays and in training each and every week.

We would also like to thank our supporters, friends and family, who have motivated us in any shape or form, and those who have come to cheer us on, despite the results and performances not going our way. Your support means the world to us.

The hard work of bouncing back from relegation to compete at the top end of Division Two starts now in earnest. We will have some pre-season friendlies booked in for July and August, before the new season starts properly in September, so keep an eye out for those.

We are recruiting over the summer - so if you're reading this and feel inspired to take up football - or know someone who is - now is the perfect time to get involved and be part of our rebuild. Drop us a message on here, or WhatsApp on 07788412304 to get the ball rolling.

Enjoy the summer and the World Cup, and we will be back before you know it. Up the Colts⚽️

Our penultimate match of the season saw us take on Birmingham Medscoc - the only team we have beaten this season - in the scorching heat on one of the hottest days in May on UK records.

We could only muster together 10 players and our opponents kindly dropped down a player to match us - but we unfortunately lost Dani early on, so played the majority of the match with 9.

Trin opened the scoring in the third minute with an excellent ball over the top by Eden. Medsoc equalised in the 16th minute and our "PSG kick-off" worked for our second goal from this routine - Anna assisting Jade. Medsoc railled with two goals of their own to go in at half time 3-2 ahead.

We levelled the game up with another mazy run by Trin, squaring the ball to Jade to equalise from short range. Our opponent's extra player and better fitness saw them score two quick goals to go ahead 5-3 with a quarter of the match left. "If we had score the next goal, we would've won" - and despite having more chances, we couldn't quite get that grandstand finish. FT 5-3

POTM was Trin who was everywhere - taking goal kicks, and breaking their high defensive line on numerous occasions. The ladies put in a shift in another enjoyable game against nice opposition - we wish them all the best in their final week of the season.

We have one final game - at home (venue TBC) this Sunday - against the runaway leaders aiming to finish the season with a 100% record.

A disappointing result given the closeness of our recent encounter with Rubery last month. We were slow out of the traps and 2-0 down within 7 minutes, and never got out of first gear all match.

We limited that to the scoring for the rest of the first half, with Dani hitting the crossbar with a header - the closest we came to scoring all match. HT 2-0.

Another second half display where the opposition scored every now and then, confirmed our relegation to Division 2. FT 7-0

Eden was POTM for helping out in defence and attack in an unaccustomed wing back role, otherwise the scoreline could've been a lot worse.

We'd also like to thank Kushla for her help with the team last week.

We still have two matches to go - but we are already looking forward to rebuilding over the summer for life in division 2 where we will be at the right end of the league.

We will be recruiting - DM us and come along to a training session if you would like to be part of the rebuild, turning the team around.

Last Sunday,we made the short trip over to local rivals Olton Ravens, who themselves needed a result in order to stave off relegation.

Olton got off to a bright start with us allowing their midfield far too much control, with simple through balls to break our lines, they were denied an opener from being off-side, but a shot from the edge of the area saw them to take the lead. For the rest of the first half, we matched them. We are denied a penalty by their defender going to ground and the ref buying it, when Eden had done her with a quick change of feet, but we were good value for our equaliser - a long ball from Kelsea (POTM) through to Eden who calmly slotted past their on-rushing GK. We were unable to hold on til half time though, with us switching off failing to clear a corner on its second wave. HT 2-1.

The second half was symptomatic of our performances throughout the season - whether it's a lack of stamina, or defending deeper, we allowed their midfield to dominate higher up the pitch, with them adding a couple, before a last minute penalty. The 5-1 scoreline flattered the hosts in the end, but our second half deep set allowed them to be worthy of the win.

We wish Olton all the best in their final match of the season.

For us, the inevitability of relegation to division 2 is all but confirmed. We have three league matches of the season left, but this weekend we travel to Bilston away in a friendly which gives us the opportunity to try things differently and experiment a little.
