“I'm not allowed to squat.”

It’s something I hear a lot from clients.

But here’s the thing — squatting is a fundamental human movement.

We squat every day:
• Sitting down
• Standing up
• Using the toilet
• Picking something up

The issue usually isn’t the squat itself.

It’s how it’s loaded, how it’s coached, and whether it’s appropriate for your current condition.

Movement builds strength and resilience.
Avoidance often builds fear.

If you’ve been told to avoid something in the gym, it doesn’t always mean “never.” It might mean “not like that, not yet.”

Context matters. Coaching matters.

If you’re unsure what you should or shouldn’t be doing, that’s exactly where good guidance makes the difference. Reach out and I will help guide you on your rehab journey.
