PowerPlay Soccer.co.uk PowerPlaySoccer.co.uk PowerPlay Soccer is the new 6-a-side game that encourages attacking football, and rewards teams for scoring goals.

At PowerPlay Soccer, our aim is to remove the 'park-the-bus' mentality that some teams employ, and reward the positive nature of scoring goals. The 'powerplay' aspect of PowerPlay Soccer is that each team receives a 4-minute 'powerplay' during the match, with each goal scored during this period counting double; even if you're a few goals down, you can use your powerplay to get back in the game. An

y team scoring 7 or more goals during a match will also receive an extra point per goal to the league points tally. See the League Rules for more information on our rules on or website. The first PowerPlay Soccer season will start on Wednesday 22nd August 2012, with matches taking place at Kingsbury Community Leisure Centre every Wednesday evening, on the newly laid 3G astroturf pitches. Match kickoff times are staggered between 7pm and 9pm. See our Fixtures page for exact timings. Each team will receive an email and text to confirm kickoff times from week to week, so please ensure the details we hold for you are correct. Games cost £24 per match, which makes PowerPlay Soccer one of the cheapest 6-a-side leagues in Birmingham. There is no joining fee, but a deposit of £20 will be required before your first match, which is refunded in full if your team does not miss a match during the season.
