Sheldon Marlborough Cricket Club

Sheldon Marlborough Cricket Club SMCC is a community cricket club based in the Yardley area of East Birmingham, roughly halfway between Solihull and Birmingham City Centres.

We currently run 3 Adult Saturday Sides, 1 Sunday league team and our thriving junior section play within the Warwickshire Cricket Board competitions. If you're looking to get back involved in cricket, have recently moved to the area or just looking for a change of scene, get in touch with us. Club history: was formed from the amalgamation of the Sheldon and Marlborough clubs in 1974. But cricket

was first played on the site in 1906 when Marlborough CC, which was based in Marlborough Road, Small Heath, moved to Foliot Fields. The club's founder, AW Woodgate, acquired the land through Yardley Great Trust, which still owns the land today.
