Researchers have found that regular strength training is linked to a lower risk of premature death, according to the largest study of its kind. Adults should take part in at least 150 minutes of moderate activity a week and by ensuring your weekly exercise includes both strength and aerobic activities, appears to have an even greater beneficial effect. If exercising in a group setting, it could also be very sociable which is another factor associated with a longer, healthier life.
