Caldecote CC has now played on three locations in Upper Caldecote since the early 1900s. The first ground was behind Athertons farm. It then moved to the meadows south of the village green which is now a Resivour

The Playing Fields on Harvey close was established in 1954, a complete new cricket field. Cricket was first played here in 1955 with football following in 1970.

So today we are celebrating 70 years of cricket at Caldecote Playing Fields by playing a friendly Presidents Match, including our President John Bracey and ex players along with a few present and future players too!!.

Thank you to all the past players and members, especially the many volunteers who have dedicated their time to managing and improving the grounds over the past 70 years. Here’s to this space continuing to grow as a hub for community well-being, welcoming both locals and visitors to our Pavilion and supporting a thriving future for local sport.

The Peter Maudlin Pavilion will be open from 12 midday with a 30 over match from 1.30pm.

A BBQ will be on from the start of the second innings. There will also be a raffle with some exciting prizes. There will be a small presentation and the chance to purchase a limited edition 70th Anniversary Club tie.
