Not all mountaineering days go perfectly to plan. And this ended up in a long walk down after missing the last lift. The classic Papillons Arrête. We got held up by a team ahead of us and an hour in a hanging belay waiting for the famous letter box pitch to be clear. Resulting in just missing the lift and a two and a half hour walk down back to Chamonix. Anyway, a great day out.
