03/09/26 Results 🏐

We’re down to our penultimate match night of the Summer Season, and there were plenty of laughs, great netball and some very close games! 💙

GoalGetters took the win against Nutty Netters in a game with great netball from both teams. Esther showed off her skills playing the ball off the post, while Lesley (PP) made her mark stepping in for NN! 👏
⭐️ Cheryl (GG) & Lesley (Borrowed)

BT Bumblebees took the win over Hoops IDIA, who struggled to find their mojo this week! Highlights included Sammy’s commentary throughout the game and plenty of laughs about Hoops not quite making it into double digits! 😂 BTB defender Beth did a fab job at shooting too!! A huge shoutout to Jemma (PP), who umpired her first match on her own and absolutely smashed it! 👏
⭐️ Tabitha (BTB) and Kelly (Hoops IDIA)

Drunk Wives got themselves a win against Misfits in another chaotic game full of shouts, screams and plenty of laughs! 😂
⭐️ Lily & Meg (DW) & Molly (MF)

Spice Goals took the win over Pink Panthers, with both of these newer teams showing some fantastic improvement throughout the season. PP commented on what an enjoyable game it was, while Daisy and Katie put in some great shooting for SG as their regular shooter was away! 🎯
⭐️ Leah (SG) & Lesley (PP)

Tangerines edged out BallBusters by just one goal in a very close and enjoyable game! There were plenty of great long balls into the D — some perhaps a little too long, as Gemma (BB) showed off her muscles! 💪😂

👏 A brilliant penultimate match night! Thank you to everyone who played, umpired, scored and continued to bring the BFNL community spirit every week. 🏐💙

Our final matches of August brought us rain, sunshine and even a rainbow!🌈☀️🌧️

GoalGetters took the win against Drunk Wives in a loud game full of laughs, screams and shouts! DW put up a great fight, with the game occasionally turning into a mix of table tennis and volleyball! 😂
⭐️ Lily (DW) & Lisa (GG)

Hoops IDIA edged ahead of Misfits after a goal-for-goal first half to secure the win. There was plenty of fighting for the ball, with Charlotte, Sammie and Jaymi getting stuck in, plus a rainbow! 🌈😂
⭐️ Molly (MF) & Kelly (HIDIA)

BallBusters narrowly beat BT Bumblebees in a brilliant end-to-end game. It was incredibly tight and great fun from start to finish!
⭐️ Leah (BB – borrowed from SG) & Ellie (BTB)

Nutty Netters took the win over Pink Panthers, with Lesley (PP) producing one of the funniest moments of the night—being completely offside, making a great interception, and somehow nobody noticing! 😂 Plus plenty of Jan's trademark long balls!
⭐️ Lesley (PP) & Dolly (NN)

Spice Goals and Tangerines played out the highest-scoring game of the season so far, with an incredible 78 goals between them! 🔥 Highlights included defender Liv showing off her shooting and Sadie having a few issues with catching the passes! 😂

20/08/26 Results 🏐

GoalGetters continued their winning streak against Hoops IDIA, despite a close first quarter. Esther (GG) had a rare case of the ball refusing to cooperate for two quarters! 😂 Hoops said it was another fun game.
⭐️ Chloe (HIDIA) & Helen (GG)

The Battle of the Pinks saw Drunk Wives take the win over Pink Panthers. Lily (DW) showed off some impressive moonwalking skills on the slippery court, while PP sisters Chloe & Jemma had a brilliant game in defence.
⭐️ Chloe & Jemma (PP) & Lily (DW)

Spice Goals narrowly beat Nutty Netters in a closely contested game. Leah and Bryony showed great chemistry in defence for SG, while it was Zoe’s final game for NN before moving away. We’ll be very sad to see her go after several years as a fantastic captain and a big part of the BFNL community! 💙
⭐️ Kerry (NN) & Bryony (SG)

Tangerines edged out BT Bumblebees by just 1 goal in another close game! The Loosemore girls linked up brilliantly in attack, while Gemma (BTB) managed to catch Katie mid-slide in the D! 😂

BallBusters took the win over Misfits in another fun and very slide-y game! Jaymi’s shooting was on top form for MF.

League Table Update! 🏐

Just 5 weeks of the season remaining, every match and bonus point makes a difference! 🙌

🥇 GoalGetters are currently sitting top of the table, with Tangerines and BallBusters in 2nd and 3rd, with only 4pts between top 3 the race is far from over 👀

The table really goes to show how much turning up to our league nights and umpiring/scoring duties really can make a difference, as well as covering other teams!

Keep striving and enjoying those matches, remember there are also bonuses for attending the final league night which will be a mix up tournament 🥳

MVPs Update 🩵

We’re now 3/4 through the season, and the MVP race is heating up! 👀🏐

Leading the way is Leah (Spice Goals)with an impressive 7 MVPs! 👏

Hot on her heels is teammate Izzy (Spice Goals) and Alice (Hoops IDIA), both with 6 MVPs🌟

And not far behind, Katy (BallBusters), Char (Misfits) and Steph (Pink Panthers) have each earned 5 MVPs!💪

With just a few weeks left, there’s still plenty of time to climb the leaderboard… who will finish the season on top? 👀🏆

BallBusters and GoalGetters battled it out in a tight game with great netball from both sides. Laura (GG) took a tumble, picking up some nasty grazes, but got straight back up and carried on, going on to make several brilliant interceptions!
⭐️ Tanya (GG) & Katy (BB)

Hoops IDIA took the win over Pink Panthers, who put up a great fight. Both teams described it as a lovely game, with Ames (PP) putting in an awesome GK performance to keep Hoops’ shooters busy!
⭐️ Molly (HIDIA) & Jane (PP)

Drunk Wives beat Spice Goals in a chaotic game made even trickier by the mist, slippery ball and tricky conditions! There were standout performances all round, with two MVPs from each team.
⭐️ Poppy & Lily (DW) & Izzy & Leah (SG)

Misfits showed some great skill but BT Bumblebees took the win in a chaotic game from the first whistle! Two BTB players even had to take a diversion on their way to the court, meaning they started the match two players down!
⭐️ Charlotte (MF) and Kathy (BTB)

Nutty Netters were hit by summer holiday plans and arrived with just three players, but still took to court for a friendly against Tangerines with the help of Spice Goals players. There were laughs all round, with Sammy umpiring in her pink towel robe, Emma wiping the ball on her top before shooting and Tina providing the singalong soundtrack, before taking a tumble herself! 😂

The right shoes can make a big difference 👟

Running trainers are great for… well… running! 🏃‍♀️ But netball involves sharp turns, sudden stops, jumping and landing, all movements that put extra stress on your ankles and knees.

Court shoes can help:

✔️ Increase grip when changing direction
✔️ Support your ankles during lateral movement
✔️ Reduce your risk of injury

We know specialist netball shoes aren’t in everyone’s budget, especially if you play socially or are just starting out.

BT Bumblebees gave GoalGetters a run for their money, with less than 10 goals between them at the final whistle. The moment of the match had to be Cheryl (GG) accidentally scoring from a sideline throw-in! 😂
⭐️ Tanya (GG) & Caitlin (BTB)

Spice Goals took the win over Hoops IDIA in a fun game. SG commented on how much they enjoyed playing together as a team, while Hoops praised their players for supporting the umpires and helping the game run smoothly.
⭐️ Erin D (SG) & Abi R (HIDIA)

Tangerines beat Misfits in another game full of laughs, including Claire's starfish marking and Molly putting in an amazing defensive performance. A big thank you to Leah (SG) for stepping in for Tangerines and earning herself MVP!
⭐️ Molly (MF) & Leah (T)

BallBusters took the win against improving Pink Panthers. Highlights included Jane throwing the ball offside in exactly the same spot twice and Gemma making her shooting debut—and scoring! 👏 Extra well done to Liv for finally filling in the memorable moments section of the match form - 16 weeks in! 😂

Drunk Wives were mostly all away on their summer holidays, giving Nutty Netters a week off in the sun and a walkover! ☀️
