Charlotte & Prince Kevin are a new partnership and have been perfecting their 40cm & 50cm show jumping over the last few months. Kev is a total dude, super safe and very kind but gets a little unsure when out competing. Charlotte is brand new to competing herself and has really shown great improvement in the last 6 months.

Yesterday was the perfect day for showing off all that they have learnt. Two beautiful clear rounds, with the 50cms in particular being really fluent.

It was also their first solo competitive outing from our yard without assistance, knowing when to tack up, warm up and walk the course 💪

50cms Team 4th Bicester Vixens

Bicester Pony Club Show 2026

Last weekend the Bicester & Warden Hill Pony Club hosted their annual children’s show at Kirtlington.

Lots of entries for a huge variety of classes, so there was something for everyone.

I was volunteering on the Show Jumping ring so got to see lots of the action!

There were many different goals for my regular riders who have lessons with me.

For some of them it was their first ever time in a showing ring without an adult beside them - which is a huge step! Others were aiming for a clear round in the jumping. The horse and hound jumping is always brilliant fun and worth a watch for spectators. My favourite photo I received was 4 of my riders being placed in the First Ridden class 🙌 Amazing results 🎉

Well done to everyone who helped the children to have a fun and enjoyable day, parents included!! It can be hectic and rather stressful keeping track of where each class is and when their child should be in the ring! 😮‍💨

Lovely evening hosting the Bicester & Oxford Riding Club Grassroots Dressage.

Intro, Prelim & Novice classes, along with a very encouraging judge 🤩 makes for a perfect outing! Julia Caitlin provided lovely, constructive and fair comments, with super scores too 🎉

Come & join us next month on Tuesday 14th July 2026 for the next competition. Intro 1, Prelim 1 and Novice 1.

Points are awarded for each test ridden with the top 10 in each section (over the summer series) qualifying for the Championship in September 💪🎉

Such a fun filled day at the Cake Clinic with these little ladies! Super cute ponies and superb riding 🥰

Special mention goes to Emma who has been working tirelessly to help Minnie become the best pony she can be. Minnie is a VERY sassy young pony who makes sure that Emma is always concentrating! Learning together is tough, but Emma is proof that hard work, dedication and consistency pays off in the end 💪🥰 Well done!

Lovely evening spent with Charlotte & Phoebe.

Charlotte has never ridden XC before so this is the perfect place to have her first go with such a wide variety of jumps.

Charlotte & Prince Kev tackled ditches, water, tyres, roll tops, steps and logs. 💪 They built up in confidence together - with a couple of rather large leaps!! Which thankfully Charlotte sat (thanks to all her no stirrups & ba****ck work on Dandy!) 😅 They are set to have a lot of fun this season together 🦄

Phoebe & Jack took it much more slowly as Jack is still building up his fitness. They popped over a few jumps to see if he enjoys his jumping. I think it’s fair to say he does!! 🎉

Phoebe is enjoying the gorgeous Jack whilst I continue to further Noodles education quietly in the background.

It’s been a crazily hot week in the UK and I was so pleased we were able to get out XC schooling on a cooler day 😅

Busy week at Team Cannon 💪😅

Brilliant Cake Clinic concentrating on feedback from the riders latest dressage tests. Improvements shown by all combinations alongside the scrummy cake! 🍰

We decided to have an early yard BBQ this year and the weather was absolutely perfect 👌 Thanks to our lovely liveries for a wonderfully social evening, with lots of laughs 🥰 We plan to do another BBQ later in the summer too.

My husband Neil loves to take photos, I love his camping nighttime shots 😍

The hot weather was perfect for the BBQ but it has been tough looking after the horses in this extreme heat 🥵 Lots of lessons have been rearranged this week to avoid the worst of the heat. Keeping the horses & riders safe is always our top priority.
