Penny and Rich’s course report this morning.

Course check was all good this morning. Slightly cooler than last week and there was a fair bit of litter around but that may be cleared before we get round to running.

There were a couple of anglers setting up this morning but nothing for parkrunners to concern themselves about. I guess the fishing closed season is over so we will be sharing the lake side part of the course for the rest of the year.

All good through the woods and the field and the rest of the course is fine. If it stays a bit cooler and the breeze doesn't get up there should be ideal conditions for some time times.

Enjoy your run, weekend and all the other sport that's going on.

I understand Bexley Mencap is hosting a sports event on the lake this morning, so there maybe more activity at the boathouse.

Here’s this morning course update from Rich and Penny.

Course check all good this morning -- a bit breezy this morning and with the rain through the week the course is a little damp but not muddy. The breeze is described on the BBC weather site as a gentle breeze from the west. There are a lot of leaves down by Joe's corner so it must have been quite windy earlier.

Nice and quiet this morning when we went round just a few walkers, runners and one cyclist and one pair of rowers on the lake..

Let's have a good run and hope that we're all enjoying a nice summer of sport. Good luck to Scotland tonight.

Here’s this morning’s course update from Penny and Rich - underlying theme - STAY HYDRATED!

See you all a bit later.

Course check all good this morning as we head into the last parkrun of May.

It's going to be another hot one today so please make sure everyone's hydrated and ready for their run.

There's nothing untoward to report and no other activities seem to be going on today in the park.

There doesn't seem to be much breeze about so there should be some quick times if people stay hydrated.


Keep cool & have a good weekend and lastly COYG ! (Come on You Gunners !) & I say that as a West Ham fan who hasn't had a lot to shout about this season.
