31/12/2025
I’ve been saving writing this post for the right moment.
The reason being that I wanted it to carry the right energy.
After all, an end of year post should be written at the end of the year right?!
Fittingly, the last day of 2025 had some fruitiness to it.
It began with some stress. A challenge that has somewhat been resolved, but a lingering unknown remains.
Doesn’t that just speak to the flow of life.
Today also contained a difficult but honest conversation, an outpouring of emotion and some moments of self reflection.
As someone with a history of self judgment, fear of rejection and a reluctance to engage in challenging conversations, these are all things I am trying to get better at.
So there is some real energy driving this post.
An acknowledgment of the ebbs and flows of life and what it is to be human.
The fact that what can sometimes feel like the burden of conscious living, is actually an exciting - albeit challenging - invitation to learn and grow.
And that if love is important to you, then developing the tools to stop fear getting in the way of letting love drive your actions is a worthwhile pursuit.
So as 2025 draws to a close I’d like to offer you the opportunity to cut yourself some slack.
Being a human being can be tough.
But it can also be awesome.
You have to choose which version you want it to be.
Knowing that at times it will still be the other.
In 2026 I encourage you to embrace honesty and self-compassion as strongly as you can.
To carve out regular time to slow down. To think. To reflect.
To learn and to grow.
But to not sacrifice the life you want for the life you think you should create.
Creating should leave you feeling positive and excited, not exhausted and resentful.
Yes, living a life of peace, prosperity and purpose requires work.
But it also requires loving yourself.
Happy New Year everyone!
