Last night we had a case of juxtaposition between a brand new top end pistol and a 46 year old well used Rifle at the Club.

Markyb recently acquired an “Original” 66”(as sold in the UK but for the rest of the world known as a Diana). This particular rifle was manufactured in October 1980.

Markyb shot it tonight in traditional 80’s style with a cheek piece raiser made up of used cards and masking tape! Yes I’m told this was how it was done way back then.? 🥴
We even had Billy take a few shots with it too!

Markyb scored a 48 and then a 49 at 6 yards. Not bad scores bearing in mind it is 46 years old and he was just sighting it in! 😊

There was some excitement for another of our member’s Satabdi who finally received her new Caesar Morini 200ei pistol.

Lovely pistol with great features. Looks fab! Hope Satabdi gets great results with it at future competitions.

We had another “50 Club” entry last night with Rob shooting 50 in supported pistol. Well done!

Congratulations to Satabdi and Sasha for taking part in the Hampshire Air Open 2026 Competition today.

Sasha achieved her first ever Gold Medal for 10m Pistol Class C. Whooo hooo 🥇

Satabdi was placed third in both her details and the aggregate in 10m Pistol Class A and was awarded 3 Bronze medals.🥉🥉🥉

Club members are participating in the Hampshire Air Open Competition running this weekend.

Today Mark, Stacey, Kevin, Martin & Gerry attended.

Stacey managed to win Rounds 1&2 and the overall Aggregate in Supported Pistol - Senior A and achieved two competition personal
bests. 3 Gold Medals were awarded.

Martin also won both his rounds and the overall Aggregate in Supported Rifle - Senior B and achieved personal competition bests. He also received 3 Gold Medals.

Gerry won both Round 1 and Overall Aggregate in Senior C Supported Pistol. He brought home two gold medals today and is awaiting the results of the 2nd round as another person is due to shoot tomorrow.

Both Markyb and Kevin had good shoots. Overall results will not be known until tomorrow as other people will be shooting.

We have Satabdi & Sasha shooting tomorrow so will give updates as we know of results. Good luck to them both shooting their disciplines.

A big Thank You to Bob Thornby & Lacey’s Shooting Services for a fabulous day. This is such a well organised event and we will defo be back next year!

Following on from the Bedfordshire Airgun Competition back in January we finally got to present certificates and a winners wooden spoon to those who attended and were placed either 1st or 2nd in their disciplines.

Congratulations to Gerry, Sasha and Colin who took the Winners Wooden Spoon in Air Pistol Class C.

Well it’s all over for Markyb at the BOAG. Finished 8th but there are some good competitors here. 😊

Another day at the BOAG….

Well done to Satabdi shooting her 2nd aggregate at the BOAG this morning. Great score of 531 for her aggregate 2 and she achieved 4th place in the overall Air Pistol Aggregate Combined Class C👏🏻. She made it to the Women’s Finals yesterday finishing in 7th place. Fantastic!

Markyb had a good shoot with an integer score of 548 (digital 577.3).
This has resulted in him being selected for the Air Rifle Open Championship
Mens Finals which takes place at 16:15 hours. 😊💪🏻

We have two members participating in the British Open Airgun Championship combined with the NSRA
Championship at Bisley this weekend.

After successfully passing weapons & equipment control yesterday (Friday) and wearing his new Capapie shooting gear 🙂 Markyb shot his first aggregate and achieved a score of 539 integer (567.8 decimal). He is shooting again on Sunday.

Satabdi shot her first aggregate this morning (Saturday) and achieved a great score of 537 which means she is in the Finals being held at 16:15pm….🤞🏻😊

Congratulations Satabdi and best wishes for later.

We have some great company from the Norwich City Target Club whose members are also participating this weekend and it is so nice to see them all here.

Both Satabdi and Markyb will be shooting again on Sunday and score updates & photos will be added. 👏🏻

One of our members Satabdi is taking part in the Intershoot Open held in The Netherlands shooting for GBR - Regional Squads UK.

Just heard she shot a personal competition best of 542 today. Congratulations. 👏🏻

Sadly she did not make the finals and was placed a respectable 14th.

Satabdi is shooting again tomorrow and as a Club we wish her well! 😊💪🏻
