❤️ A MESSAGE TO OUR SPONSORS ❤️
We want to take a moment to say a huge and genuine thank you to every single sponsor who supported the Liam Muckle Memorial Shield 2026.
Whether this was your first year with us or your second, please know just how much your support means.
Sunday’s weather knocked some of our timings and plans around, including our 10:45am sponsor photo. Some of you were able to make it along and some weren’t, and that is absolutely fine. Work, family, weather and life can all play a part, and we completely understand that.
For those who did come along, thank you for making the effort to be there. Unfortunately, with the rain coming down the way it was, we couldn’t get the camera equipment and lenses out when planned, and once timings started moving, some of the sponsor photos and recognition didn’t happen in the way we had hoped.
We have spoken as a committee and we already have a plan in place to make sure those moments are still properly acknowledged, and we will be in touch.
We know you support this Memorial because of what it stands for, not for a photograph, a mention or to see your business name. But that doesn’t mean those things don’t matter to us, we still want every single sponsor to feel valued, appreciated and properly thanked. ❤️
You support this because of the people we remember.
Because of the people we remember.
Because of the families we stand beside.
Because of the love, remembrance and togetherness that this day brings.
And that means more to us than we can properly put into words. ❤️
We are also incredibly lucky to live in a town with businesses like you all.
Berwick is a special place, and the way local businesses continue to stand behind local people, local families and community events like this is a huge part of what makes it so special.
Nobody has to put their business behind this Memorial.
Nobody has to donate, help, share, provide services or give their time.
But you do.
And we will never take that for granted.
Your support helps us create a day where families can see just how much love there still is for the people they have lost.
That was shown throughout Sunday.
The love and support shown to the families was truly special to witness, and I know we can speak for both the committee and the families when we say we are forever grateful for every single person and business who stood beside them.
Despite the weather and the changes it caused, Sunday was still a brilliant day and one we are incredibly proud of.
It showed exactly what this Memorial is about.
Love. Remembrance. Community. Togetherness.
And you are a part of that.
Whether you have supported us for one year or two, you are helping this Memorial grow and helping us build something that means so much to so many people.
When the time comes to start building towards next year, we really hope you will stand beside us again.
