Holbrook Colts are back in action this Saturday as they take on Eastwood Football Club!

📅 Saturday 12th September
⏰ Kick Off: 10:00

After a disappointing defeat in the first game of the season, the Colts will be determined to put things right this weekend. The boys will be working hard in training throughout the week as they prepare for another tough fixture.

Defeat on opening day

A new chapter for the Colts in YEL Division 1. The scoreline doesn’t reflect the effort the lads put in against a very good and well organised Woodborough side. The game could have gone either way, but they took their chances well on the break.

Lots of positives to take from yesterday and definitely some lows but also lessons to learn for myself as a manager and the players. We know the hard work needs to increase and the mindset of how much you want it

⚽💙 TONIGHT’S TRAINING 💙⚽

Another brilliant session from the boys tonight as we continue getting ready for the season ahead! 👏

Tonight’s session had a big focus on passing and fitness, keeping the ball moving and working hard both in and out of possession.

The boys also worked on scanning and getting their heads up before receiving the ball — looking around, knowing where their teammates and the space are, and thinking about their next move before the ball arrives. 👀⚽

Another big focus was tracking back and reacting when possession is lost. Rather than giving up when they lose the ball, the boys were encouraged to work hard, get back into position and fight to win it back for their team. 💪🔥

Lots of running, lots of passing and plenty of hard work tonight — but the effort from the whole team was fantastic. 💙

Every session, a little stronger. Every session, a little smarter. ⚽

Now onto Saturday! 🙌💙

⚽️ Tournament day is almost here! ⚽️

Holbrook Colts are on the road again as we make another trip to Chesterfield for our final pre-season tournament! 💙

With 7 group games to play and only 2 places available to reach the knockout stages, the boys have a big challenge ahead. This will be our toughest tournament to date, but it’s another fantastic opportunity to learn, develop, and enjoy the day.

We’ll let our football do the talking and give it everything we’ve got! 💪⚽
