🏆 CHAMPIONS – ECKINGTON TOURNAMENT 2026 🏆

Today saw Holbrook Colts travel to Eckington for what was the team’s third pre-season tournament together, and what a day it turned out to be!

The weather wasn’t at its best this morning, and the boys started a little slowly, but once they found their rhythm there was no stopping them. From the first whistle to the last, every player gave absolutely everything for the badge, working tirelessly for one another and showing fantastic teamwork, determination, and character throughout the day.

With every game, the lads grew stronger, more confident, and more determined. Their hard work, commitment, and never-give-up attitude paid off in the best possible way as they battled their way to the final.

A tense and exciting final saw Holbrook face Chesterfield, and after a tremendous team performance, the boys secured a deserved 1-0 victory to be crowned Eckington Tournament 2026 Champions! 🏆⚽

This wasn’t just about winning a trophy it was about seeing a new team come together, support one another, and show exactly what they’re capable of. Every single player played their part and should be incredibly proud of what they’ve achieved today.

A huge well done to all the boys. Your effort, attitude, and teamwork were outstanding from start to finish.

Today we welcomed our kit sponsor, Amie from AEUK RC Dronfield down to our 3rd Tournament for our team photo with the lads.

Unfortunately, we’ll need to arrange another team photo as two Colts players were unavailable today.. Avee due to injury and Judes commitments at his Sunday team’s presentation.

⚽️ Sheffield, We’re Coming! ⚽️

Next weekend, Holbrook Colts will be heading to Sheffield for another fantastic tournament our third tournament together as a new team.

So far, the boys have made an incredible start:
🏆 Tournament Champions in our first outing
💪 Semi-Finalists in our second tournament

Now it’s time for Tournament Number 3, and we’re ready to go again!

👕 New kits at the ready
⚽ The boys are locked in
🔥 The excitement is building

This team continues to grow, learn, and make memories every time they step onto the pitch. The hard work, commitment, and team spirit have been outstanding, and we can’t wait to see what this weekend brings.

Eastwood breeze past Holbrook

After a difficult evening for Holbrook Colts, the result ultimately wasn’t the one we were hoping for, but from the first whistle to the very last minute, the team battled tirelessly, showing great character and refusing to give up despite the challenges faced throughout the match.

There were positive moments during the game, with the players continuing to work hard for each other and staying united as a group. Even when things didn’t go our way, the lads kept pushing forward, demonstrating resilience and a strong team spirit that reflects what this squad is all about.

There are plenty of lessons to take from the performance. The effort, shown right until the end gives the team a solid foundation to build on moving forward.

The coaches and players will continue to work together, improve together, and prepare for the challenges ahead.

Everyone at the club is ready to respond positively, and the group is fully up for the challenge.

This evening’s POTM goes to Zachary who despite showing up late (blamed his mum) was switched on from the minute he stepped in to the minute he stepped off the pitch… and was full of positive encouragement for his team mates.
