๐ฅ WHAT A FEW WEEKS FOR BELFAST WADO-KAI! ๐ฏ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ช
The past few weeks have been extremely busy, but equally successful for Belfast Wado-Kai Karate Association and the wider I.W.K.A. family.
๐ฉ๐ฐ DENMARK โ TRAINING WITH TAKAGI SENSEI
Earlier this month, we travelled to Denmark for an incredible weekend of training with Takagi Sensei from Japan.
Renowned for his speed, skill, technical ability and depth of knowledge, Takagi Sensei is a highly respected figure within Wado-Kai, and it was a real privilege to spend time on the dojo floor learning from him.
Hard training, plenty of sweat, plenty of laughs and, most importantly, the opportunity to reconnect with friends and fellow practitioners from across Europe.
These are the experiences that make Wado-Kai so special โ training together, learning together and continuing to develop together. ๐
๐ฎ๐ช 22ND AUGUST โ I.W.K.A. TECHNICAL COURSE & GRADING
Then, on 22nd August, the I.W.K.A. Technical Committee assembled for a technical course and grading.
Following three hours of demanding training, we moved into the 2nd Kyu Brown Belt examinations.
Everyone who stepped forward to grade performed fantastically well and, through their preparation, effort and commitment, successfully passed their examinations. ๐๐ฅ
A huge congratulations to everyone involved. Your progress is a reflection of the hard work you continue to put in week after week.
๐ฅ AND WE'RE ONLY GETTING STARTED...
With the summer training behind us, attention now turns to an exciting remainder of the year:
๐ฅ I.W.K.A. Junior League
๐ฏ๐ต I.W.K.A. JKF Dan Grading
๐ญ๐บ Budapest
โฆand plenty more training, development and opportunities to test ourselves along the way.
For Belfast Wado-Kai, the journey continues.
Train hard. Stay humble. Keep learning. Keep progressing ๐๐ฅ
