🥎 Angels vs Lisburn Hawks 🥎

A tough result for the Angels in our most recent game, with the Lisburn Softball Hawks taking the win 29–4.

A huge congratulations to the Hawks on clinching Division B with the victory — a well-earned achievement after a strong season. 👏

Though it was a difficult game for the Angels, there was still plenty to be proud of. The team showed great support, strong communication, and real commitment to backing each other up on the field. Some clutch plays highlighted the teamwork and resilience that keeps this squad pushing forward.

Our MVPs were James Wilson and Carolina McKibben! 🌟

Both made excellent catches in the outfield, with James also stepping up at shortstop. Brilliant work from both, and great effort from everyone who kept fighting until the final out.

On to the next one, without final game of the season taking place Sunday. 💪🥎

🥎😇Monday, 24 August the Angels take on the Lisburn Softball Hawks at Hydebank. Match starts at 7pm 🥎😇

Last week the Angels took on the East Belfast Softball Wolfhounds at home. It a was a hard fought match, with the Angels holding their ground and working hard each inning. The final inning was a nailbiter with Angels bringing in 5 runs to try and close the gap. Though we lost, 10-12, it was a great game that included some great plays. MVPs of the match go to Ruth at first and rookie James in the outfield.

What a way to kick off the second half of the season! 🥎 Angels take the win at home 14-12 against the Bangor Barracudas.

The Angels may have started our first at-bats already 7 runs behind, but this team never stopped fighting. Everyone dug in, communicated brilliantly, got the bats going with rookies and veterans making key hits, and worked together to turn the game around to take and hold the lead against the Cudas.

A huge congratulations to our Match MVPs:
⭐ Kalvin for stepping up on the mound and pitching an outstanding game.
⭐ Ruth for clutch hitting and some fantastic plays at first base when they mattered most.

An incredible team effort all around—what a way to start Phase 2 and build on a great weekend for the club! 💪👏

🥎 Angels vs Lisburn Falcons 🥎

The Angels welcomed the Lisburn Falcons last week for a brilliant evening of softball under clear skies — with only a mildly offensive number of midgies to contend with.

The Falcons found their stride early, putting nine runs on the board in the first inning. But the Angels kept building throughout the game, tightening up the defence, getting the bats going and making smart decisions on the bases to take the lead.

An 18-15 win was a fantastic way to wrap up the first part of the season, with great softball played by both teams.

Our unanimous MVPs were newcomer Caroline and Angels veteran J-Dawg! Huge congratulations to you both! 👏

The Angels are now looking forward to Division B Phase 2 getting underway in a few weeks. 😇

​We will be hosting a dedicated Beginners Session on the 30th of June. Whether you’ve never held a glove before or are looking to get back into the game, come down and learn the ropes in a fun, relaxed environment with other newcomers.
