What a day for Bedlington Terriers Rapids! ❤️🖤

Yesterday the lads took on the Washington HUB Tournament by -motiv8 and came away as TOURNAMENT WINNERS — they did it UNDEFEATED ALL DAY! 🔥

Every single player gave 100% effort from the first whistle to the last. They all had an important role to play today, and every single one stepped up when the team needed them. The lads worked tirelessly with all the hard work, commitment and effort they’ve put in over the weeks and months paying off in style. 💪⚽

There were some VERY high emotions today from the players, coaches and especially the parents 😬. There were a few tears along the way too… but thankfully these were happy and proud tears and mostly came from the coaches and parents 😂😭❤️

Watching these boys fight for each other, encourage each other and never give up was something really special. They are the best group of lads but today they really showed they were a *TEAM* in every sense of the word. 👊 🤝

And we have to give a HUGE shout-out to our amazing parents! 👏❤️🖤
The support you give these lads week in, week out is absolutely incredible. The cheering, encouragement, travelling, early mornings, cold sidelines and everything you do behind the scenes does not go unnoticed. Today, you were the extra player on the pitch! 📣🙌

Rapids vs Blyth Rangers ⚽

What a performance from the Rapids! 👏🔥

The lads had to battle through some proper football weather, with the rain coming down, but it didn’t stop them! 🌧️⚽ Every single one of them showed great attitude, determination and commitment.

The biggest positive was seeing the boys listen to the coaches and put into practice what we’ve been working on. They’re starting to understand how to take control of a game, move the ball, make decisions and dictate the play rather than just reacting. 💪

❤️ Match Day Report – The Rapids 🖤

Rapids vs Ellington

9/8/26 Yesterday was a really tough game against a very good team, and while the result wasn’t what we wanted, there were loads of positives to take from the performance. 💪⚽️

At times we played some really good football, moving the ball well and showing plenty of confidence against a strong opposition. We also worked incredibly hard defensively, with Gabe putting in a fantastic performance in goal and Zayn outstanding at the back, helping keep the team organised and battling for every ball. 🧤🧱

A brilliant defensive performance from Zayn, who never stopped working and deservedly took home the Player of the Match award. 👏

The boys can hold their heads high. We know there are things to work on, but games like this will only make us better. The effort, football and defensive work were all there today.

It wasn’t our day on the scoreboard, but there’s plenty to be proud of. ❤️🖤

Bedlington terriers VS Blyth Town 

🚀 Player of the Match – Rudy “The Rocket” 🚀

Today’s Player of the Match goes to Rudy “The Rocket” after an outstanding performance against our friends Blyth Town. 🔥

Rudy was everywhere today, finishing the game with 2 goals and 2 assists, showing his pace, teamwork, and eye for goal. Every time he got on the ball, he looked dangerous and worked tirelessly for the team from start to finish.

That said, this was one of those games where any one of our players could have picked up the award. Every single player gave 100%, played for each other, and showed fantastic teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship. It was a complete team performance that everyone should be proud of.

Well done, Rudy, on a brilliant display, and congratulations to the whole Rapids squad on another fantastic result! ❤️🖤

Washington Hub Promotiv8 Tournament – Runners-Up🥈 ❤️🖤🙌

What a fantastic day for the Bedlington Terriers Rapids! Reaching the final of the Washington Hub Tournament was a brilliant achievement and something every player should be proud of.

The final was a hard-fought contest from start to finish, with both teams giving everything. Unfortunately, we came up just short, but the scoreline doesn’t reflect the effort, determination, and teamwork the lads showed throughout the tournament.

While it’s disappointing to finish as runners-up, making it all the way to the final is something to celebrate and build on.

A huge thank you to all the parents, supporters, for their encouragement throughout the day. Your support means everything.

Heads held high, Rapids—you’ve done yourselves and the club proud. The future is bright! ⚽🖤❤️

The Rapids were in action at the Washington HUB tournament this bank holiday, representing Bedlington Terriers with pride.
⚽️❤️🖤

The team faced some fantastic opposition throughout the day and rose to every challenge. One of the standout moments came in our very first penalty shoot-out — a huge moment for the players. A brilliant save from Rudy gave us the edge, and Albi kept his composure to slot home the winning penalty, sending the team through in style!

There were smiles, celebrations, and real team spirit on display, with the boys showing just how far they’ve come. From lining up together with the Rapids banner to supporting each other on and off the pitch, it was a great day for everyone involved.

Unfortunately, the journey ended in the quarter-finals with a tough result, but the effort, attitude, and sportsmanship shown by the team was something to be proud of.

Plenty of positives to take forward — and memories made along the way. On to the next one! 💪⚽️
