The Rapids were in action at the Washington HUB tournament this bank holiday, representing Bedlington Terriers with pride.
⚽️❤️🖤

The team faced some fantastic opposition throughout the day and rose to every challenge. One of the standout moments came in our very first penalty shoot-out — a huge moment for the players. A brilliant save from Rudy gave us the edge, and Albi kept his composure to slot home the winning penalty, sending the team through in style!

There were smiles, celebrations, and real team spirit on display, with the boys showing just how far they’ve come. From lining up together with the Rapids banner to supporting each other on and off the pitch, it was a great day for everyone involved.

Unfortunately, the journey ended in the quarter-finals with a tough result, but the effort, attitude, and sportsmanship shown by the team was something to be proud of.

Plenty of positives to take forward — and memories made along the way. On to the next one! 💪⚽️

📣 🚨 Match Report – Bedlington Terriers Rapids 15/03/2026 📣 🚨

It’s taken nearly a week for the adrenaline to calm but what a last game of the league season for our U7 Rapids… and what a way to end it.

By far the most competitive match we’ve had against a brilliant Swalwell team. A real battle from start to finish.

Every challenge, every tackle, every minute felt earned. It had everything: intensity, pressure, big moments, nail biting moments 😱 and moments we’ll never forget. And a team that never stopped trying.

POTM goes to Rudy “the Rocket” 🚀 unstoppable today and stepped up when it mattered most.

Honourable mentions to Albi “the Archer” 🏹 and “Outstanding” Oscar 👏 for taking opposition PoTM. Great job lads 👏

Proud of every single player. We left it all out there. Huge pride in the work rate, teamwork, and how far we’ve come as a team.

⚽️ Match Report 08/03/26 – Bedlington Terriers Rapids ⚽️

A brilliant team performance 🙌🏻 on Sunday in Game Week 5 as Bedlington Terriers Rapids took on Newcastle City Juniors Atlanta in a hard-fought match! 💪

🌪 Player of the Match: Our very own “Hurricane” Hudson, who put in an outstanding performance. Rock 🪨 solid in defence during the first half, reading the game brilliantly and stopping attack after attack. Then in the second half he stepped into goal and delivered when it mattered most — pulling off a huge penalty save at a vital moment! An incredible all-round performance! 🧤🔥

🦁 Opposition Player of the Match: Leo “The Lion” had a strong game scoring a goal and adding an assist.

Massive effort from the whole Rapids squad and definitely our best team performance — hard work, determination, and great spirit on display from everyone to get a fantastic result 👏⚽️

🙌🏻 What a performance today from our mighty Rapids! ❤️🖤⚽️

Charlie “The Hardman” 💪 was an absolute machine and deservedly walked away with POTM! Giving 110% from the first whistle to the last, he didn’t stop running, tackled everything in sight, and showed incredible heart for the team. His pinpoint passing was top class 👏 and the way he stepped up to play in multiple positions — outstanding in every single one — just shows the character and commitment he brings to the squad. 💪🔥

Special mention to Oscar the “Outlaw” 🤠 for another excellent performance, picking up opposition POTM. He was relentless in tracking the ball down, never letting up and again adding to his tally ⚽️👏🏻 Quality week in, week out!

Overall, this was the best team performance we’ve seen all season. The teamwork is shining through and the results speak for themselves 🙌 The hard work on the training ground 🏟️ is paying off — keep pushing, keep believing, and keep working hard together as a team! ❤️🖤⚽️
