The U12 Steelers have a game on Tuesday evening against Killingworth YPC U13 Girls.

Should be a good test for our Steelers who are all U11 players against an established Killy side.

KO is 7.00pm at Meadowdale Academy.

Bedlington Terriers Juniors FC are looking to grow our ever-expanding football family by launching new girls’ teams for the 2026/27 season.

We’re looking for girls currently in:
❤️ School Years 2 & 3 (Under 8s)
🖤 School Years 4 & 5 (Under 10s)

❤️🖤 A long but brilliant day for the U12 Steelers at the Jac's Private Hire West Denton Football Tournament! ❤️🖤

Kicking off at 9:30am, the Steelers battled through a long day in hot but windy conditions against West Denton Scorpions, West Denton Tornadoes, Walker Central, Heaton Stannington and Throckley Magpies.

After an impressive group stage, winning 4 out of 5 games and finishing second overall, the lads progressed to the Cup knockout stages alongside league winners Walker Central and West Denton.

In the Quarter Final, the Steelers faced Gateshead Rutherford, who had finished third in the opposite group. Trailing 1–0, the Terriers raised the tempo in the second half and two quick goals turned the tie on its head to seal a fantastic comeback victory.

The Semi Final brought a tough test against league winners Hexham Juniors. The Terriers took the lead but were pegged back in the closing moments, sending the game to penalties.

Jack, Hendo and Frankie all coolly converted from the spot to send the Steelers into the Cup Final.

The Final was always going to be a huge challenge, with the Steelers facing a very strong Walker Central Football Club
side — the only team to beat them all day.

The lads gave absolutely everything, but ultimately fell to a well-organised and clinical Walker side, losing 2–0 to worthy winners.

A massive well done to all of the players for their effort, attitude and resilience throughout a very long day — you did the club proud. 👏

And finally, a big thank you to West Denton FC for their hospitality and for running a fantastic tournament 👍🏻
