We have over 100 children who use our pitches weekly, we are blessed with numerous volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure children train and play in a safe environment. It is disappointing that the field is becoming worse each week with the amount of dog poo left by inconsiderate owners who find it acceptable to allow their dogs to foul on the fields where children will be playing, where kids as young as 3 years old will be learning to play sport and engage in physical activity. It is dangerous and poses many health risks. Clearing dog poo from the fields adds extra time to each session and reduces the time we have with the kids or extends the amount of preparation time we need. The fields are currently monitored by CCTV and it seems that people are happy to allow this to happen not just when the fields are not being used but even when children are physically present and training on the field. Tonight we have been sent this photo of someone walking their dog who allowed it to 💩 on the fields without clearing it up. To the dog walker in the photo and anyone else who thinks this is acceptable… please do better.
