What a fantastic night for Whitburn Junior FC at the A Dad, His Lad & His Lad Lower League Awards! 🟤🟠
We were extremely proud to have several people connected with our club nominated:
⭐ Legacy Award – Tam Smith
⭐ Special Recognition Award – Robert Cook, Archie Gilmour & Robert Haddow
⭐ Volunteer of the Year – Steven Greer
⭐ Best Kit Team of the Year – Whitburn Junior FC
To have every one of our nominees finish inside the TOP 10 in their respective categories is something everyone at the club can be extremely proud of. 👏

A massive special mention has to go to Robert and our kit team, who achieved an incredible 3rd place in the Best Kit Team of the Year award! 🏆
Anyone involved in football knows just how much work goes on behind the scenes with the kits. It's one of those jobs that can easily be taken for granted, but week after week everything needs to be prepared, organised and ready for the players.
Robert's commitment to making sure the team is looked after every single week is hugely appreciated by everyone at Whitburn Junior FC.
To finish 3rd across the lower leagues is fantastic recognition for all that hard work and something Robert and the club should be extremely proud of.

While awards and nominations are fantastic, there are so many others behind the scenes who give their time and effort to keep our club moving forward.
We'd therefore like to give a huge thank you to Natalie, Wullie, Bert, Tommy, Ann, Wee Stevo, Sharon and all her helpers in the pie hut, Winnie, Janet and our Commercial Manager Cameron for everything they do throughout the season. ❤️
There are also many others who contribute in different ways without ever looking for recognition.
We are ONE club.
It's the collective effort of our committee, volunteers, helpers, supporters, sponsors, players and management that makes Whitburn Junior FC special. 🟤🟠

The success of the awards was brilliant to see and, more importantly, it gave a platform to celebrate and promote everything that's great about lower-league football. ⚽
Players, volunteers, kit teams, committee members and supporters at this level don't always get the recognition they deserve. Nights like this shine a light on the people who give countless hours to their clubs simply because they love them and love the game.
A massive well done to every winner and every nominee from all the clubs represented. 👏🏆
❤️ A SPECIAL MENTION FOR ANNE & Chris's House
We'd also like to recognise all of the special guests who helped make the evening what it was, with a particularly special mention to Anne, founder of Chris's House.
What Anne has created in memory of her son is truly remarkable. To turn such a devastating personal loss into something that provides hope, support and help to others is incredibly powerful.
The work carried out by Chris's House, supporting people affected by su***de and helping those who are struggling, is a magnificent cause and one that deserves huge recognition. ❤️
Anne, you should be incredibly proud of what you have created in your son's memory and of the difference Chris's House continues to make to so many people.
It was a privilege to be part of an evening that wasn't simply about handing out awards. It was about community, recognition, togetherness and celebrating the incredible people who make lower-league football what it is.
Congratulations again to Chris on a hugely successful event, congratulations to every winner and nominee, and a final massive well done to Robert and the Whitburn kit team on bringing home 3rd place! 🥉👕👏
