We are unbelievably excited, overwhelmed and proud to announce that tonight AFC Barwell were awarded the Leicestershire and Rutland Grassroots Football Club of the Year award for 2024.

What an amazing achievement and recognition of all the effort and hard work put in by our volunteers, players, coaches and parents.

Well another season done, and got to admit it’s been a pretty decent one. We’ve had a couple of decent runs in cups, but the last few months has been an absolute dream with the lads. So many positives this season, and credit to the lads that stuck with us after a very tough season last year.

Big thanks to Lee Parker your support, help, and experience has always been brilliant. Pretty sure the lads would agree too 💛💙

Thanks to AFC Barwell for the support again this season, and providing us the great facilities we have. We definitely have one of the best grassroots clubs in the area 💛💙

Come and cheer on your coach, parent or just for fun. Raising funds for two good causes

Today is non league football day , It's also the day that our very first Parents vs Coaches fundraising Match is taking place.

We hope that this becomes an annual event with either coaches or parents earning the bragging rights for a whole year!

The bigger picture is vitally important. The proceeds from today are split between the football club to help fund groundskeeping equipment and the air ambulance service.

⚽️ Charity Match⚽️

The club are holding a charity match on Saturday, 23rd March.

I believe some of our parents and coaches are taking part.😀 You are all welcome to come and enjoy the spectacle…..I mean game.

The match details are below:
Gates open at the Barwell FC stadium at 8.45am with the Ko 9.30am
Spectators £5 adults £2 kids under 18 With a gate ticket prize (on entry you receive a numbered entry ticket
One lucky person will win an incredible hamper. 1/2 of the gate money will be donated to the air ambulance, the other half will help the club purchase its own pitch maintenance machinery. Hot food Drinks and snacks are available. After the match the Cup presentation and raffle will take place with rumours of a sneaky pint after the match! Finished by midday!

The committee and trustees at AFC Barwell are pleased to be opening their doors once again for the 'Warm Welcome Locations' campaign.

Please join us for free hot drinks and biscuits, a warm welcome and smile. There's a local park to enjoy, free parking (on Monday from 10 - 2 only) accessible toilets, free WiFi and a small selection of books to read. Free books welcome, exchanges on books also accepted for the Readers scheme.

📌New Season

Good luck today to all AFC Barwell teams playing in their first fixture, and special good luck to our U18’s and 17’s.

With the Ravens recruiting some of our U17’s from last season, they have stepped up to the U18’s league. Our foxes have also recruited new players for this season, also will be a good test for both teams this season.

Our U18’s kick off at home, while the U17’s travel to the outskirts of Leicester.

Refreshment will be available this morning at Dovecote Way
