Today was our final session before a well earned summer break for the coaches and volunteers.
It was an exciting morning with the big reveal of the money raised for from the Pendle Panthers mountain bike challenge. There'll be an official post but thanks to everyone involved and who donated.
During today's sessions the novice group practiced boosting up the landing ramps of the back line, going the opposite direction. They also played on the flat track working on their balance and a quick intro to jumping with a small kicker.
Intermediates pushed themselves in linking skills together to retain their speed from pumping and using it to boost jumps and carry into corners etc. A challenging but fun session.
Experts re capped on last weeks cornering drills, pumping into and out of corners, finished with a bit of jumping in the back line, with a couple of riders hitting these jumps for the first time..excellent progress on both drills 👌
Riders of the week:
Novice: Lorenzo & Carter
Intermediate: Reuben & Fergus
Expert: Ted and Freddie
Although we're (un)officially on a break, there's still things going on so keep an eye on the groups and socials.
Track maintenance day tomorrow, so if you can spare some time to help and give back to the track, it would be great to see you. There may also be a ride-out or two.
One of our riders will be racing tomorrow in Blackpool for the final round of the Region BMX series, have a great day Jordan.
Have a great summer break with happy riding, holidaying and safe travels.
Big love
Pendle Panthers
