Well done to our Staincross Rangers U10 Reds for taking part tonight 💪💪👏

A busy Friday night, we had Daisy for a 1-1 this evening. I went to watch Daisy play last weekend (how many 1-1 coaches do that!) and she was brilliant! we noticed a couple of things that we can work on with her to help develop Daisy on a game day and we started with that tonight. She did brilliantly and grafted from start to finish well done Daisy 💪🏼
Then we had Harry in for an hour, we did a finishing session with Harry and he was brilliant. We showed him that it’s not all about the nice, fast paced finishes we stripped it right back and looked at the techniques needed when space and time is minimal. Again he didn’t brilliantly well done mate

Tonight we were booked in for another team session. Marc made the short trip over to Royston to Staincross juniors. We planned and designed a detailed session plan which we sent over to the Staincross coaches so they could see and understand what and how we was doing things. We also added some coaching pointers for them which will help their coach development as well as the kids development. Marc delivered the session brilliantly with the kids learning and having fun whilst doing it. Well done everybody ⚽️⚫️⚪️🟠

Unfortunately due coach availability and predicted poor weather, we have made the decision to cancel this week’s Summer Club session. We will be back as normal on Thursday 11th and look forward to seeing you all then 💪⚽️🥅⚽️

It was great to have the lads back out on the pitch today against a very strong Pinfold side. As league winners and two-time cup winners, we knew this would be a tough test from the start and it certainly lived up to expectations.

We started brightly and took an early lead with some really good football, moving the ball well and showing great intent going forward. Pinfold responded strongly, pulling it back and continuing to add to their tally, but full credit to our lads who kept battling throughout and never gave up.

In what turned into a real goal fest, we managed to bag 8 goals of our own, with some excellent attacking play on display:

* Max x2 ⚽
* Rafe x1 ⚽
* Dalton x1 ⚽

For a group that has only been together a short time and with some players playing their first game for the team it was fantastic to see such great teamwork, effort, and determination across the pitch.

The boys worked tirelessly for each other and showed a brilliant attitude from start to finish.

Manager’s Player of the Match: AJ – for an outstanding display of footballing ability, capped off with some top-class moments and four well-taken goals.

Parents’ Player of the Match: Max – for his relentless determination both on and off the ball, some excellent technical moments, and marking his first ever game for the team with two goals.

Overall, a great game with plenty of positives and some brilliant football on display.

It only felt like 5 minutes ago we hit the 400 milestone but today, we’ve reach FIVE HUNDRED FOLLOWERS!!! 🎉🎉🎉

A little late but a great celebration to have from our U9 Reds ❤️ who took on their first tournament! 1st tournament for our under 9s reds in the Kendray cup

Depending where we finish it goes in groups

Champions league
Europa league
Conference league
5 games in group
We start the tournament with a nice 1 nil win against sheffield all stars
Unlucky not to be 3 or 4

We then play a team who end up going and winning the champions league group - Thurcroft. Very good footballing side and our lads tried but we lost. Next we play dodworth. Very close game and evenly matched and missed out slightly.

Final game against Greaseborough and again we had chances but missed the opportunity. We finished 4th in group and go into the Europa league stage.

Reds v oxspring for a place in the final. Start the game off fast and have a few chances. Lads and lass have gave it there all and the amount of games has burnt us out.

1st tournament and just missed out on the final. Few tears at the end from the players. Unlucky reds

For me today was some of the best pass and move football I’ve seen us do so far. We passed to space and moved to space. Scored some good goals with this too.

It was always going to be hard with the weather and only having 1 sub. For the first 20 minutes we didn’t give them much time and was doing a great job. The second half we got tired and this was always going to happen so the kids need to be happy as they did a great job today and played some lovely football.

Good goal from Leo today and the ball over from Billy was fantastic. On another day he’d have had a hatrick.
Also left footed finish from Charlie a nice finish too. Then Leo by not stopping and putting keeper under pressure to tap home.

Be proud kids cause you did all we asked and just got tired. Very happy with the stuff they did today. Taking the pass and move from training and doing it in the game was a pleasure to see.

Also credit to pinfold blues and there coach Paul who has done a great job with them. They played some great stuff too and was a great game as it always is with these guys.

A solid performance today from the team on the ground and we just got a bit unlucky to only come away with a draw.

We did a lot of practice on Friday about being in position, keeping our positions and passing the ball more through those positions. We saw loads of what we practised happening on the pitch so on that alone, we felt triumphant today 💪💪

We tried to roll our sub around those who looked the most hot and bothered to keep things going 🥵🥵 but also try people in different positions. Everyone wants to be a striker but we had some great goals and shots on target from our boys from those different positions.

There was lots of people who looked strong and confident in the challenges today too and it was good to see we were not kicking it out all the time but trying to kick it up the pitch. Everyone had some individual successes today that they should be proud of 💪💪

Managers Player - George. We watched George put some great tackles and challenges in and used his body and position well in these to win the challenges.

Parents Player - Joint winners - Jack and Charlie - both had great moments in the game. Jack with some impressive saves and Charlie with strong challenges and an impressive goal followed by nearly taking half his skin off his knees with his slide celebration 🤣🤣🤣.
