Developing a school–club model for long-term basketball progression
Barnsley Advance Basketball Club is proud to be working in partnership with Holy Trinity, Barnsley to create a clear and progressive basketball pathway from school provision into club training and competitive opportunities.
As part of this collaboration, Barnsley Advance coaches deliver high-quality basketball sessions across both primary and secondary age groups, supporting pupils to develop skills, confidence, and a lifelong enjoyment of the game.
🔗 The Barnsley Advance Pathway
Alongside school provision, students can access the wider Barnsley Advance Basketball programme, which provides:
Weekly development and training sessions
Opportunities to join club teams and squads
A structured progression route through U10, U12, U14, U16, and U18 basketball
This creates a clear player journey:
School Basketball → Club Coaching → Development Sessions → Competitive Pathways
Across the programme, we support players aged 7–17, offering both open development opportunities and structured competitive training environments.
