The Class:- Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present and engaged in the current moment, aware of your thoughts, feelings, and surroundings without judgment. Practices include focussed attention, body scanning and open awareness.
Benefits:- Focusing on the present moment can reduce stress, enhance emotional resilience, increase concentration and cognitive function and boost overall mood. Health benefits can include lower blood pressure, improved sleep quality and immune function and better overall health. It helps cultivate a sense of inner peace and balance, enabling us to navigate life's challenges with greater clarity and calmness.
Your Teacher:- Ruth has been meditating for over 10 years and is a registered teacher with the British Association of Mindfulness Based Approaches since 2018. She recently graduated with a Distinction in an MsC in Mindfulness Based Approaches from Bangor University.
