Massive thank you to everyone that turned up this afternoon as a small get together to gauge interest for the Development Team for the upcoming 2026/27 Season.

23 players attended, which was brilliant to see. We’ve decided to continue these sessions, with the next one this coming Wednesday. We hope to see more new faces.

Just a reminder for all interested in joining Barmouth Development Team for the upcoming season.

A light session just to get everyone together before pre-season begins on June 22nd.

With us expecting a large number of players to attend pre-season training, we felt it was best for the Development Team to have its own session before everything gets underway. This gives anyone thinking of joining the chance to meet one another a few days earlier.

We will discuss the upcoming season, meet the coaches, and have a light session.

If you turn 16 during the season, please attend as opportunities will come.

Please contact our socials if you’re able to attend and bring your boots. If you can’t make it, don’t worry.

We are very pleased to announce that George Sutherns is our new Development Team Manager with Robert Griffith and Steve John as his assistants.

It’s an exciting time for the club. This team will be able to provide experience for our youth and also create competition for the First Team.

The club can also confirm an application has been submitted to the Cambrian Tyres Aber & District Football League for the 2026/27 season.

Efan Anwyl will leave the club this summer as he heads to America. An unbelievably talented player, he has been outstanding for the Magpies this season.

Everyone at the club wishes you all the best and we hope to see you back one day wearing the white and black.

Yesterday afternoon the Club held its Annual Presentation at the Royal Hotel in Barmouth and the following players/individuals were duly presented with their awards:

Top Goalscorer - Dewey Wright with 14 goals in 15 matches.

Young Player of the Year - Efan Anwyl

Players Player of the Year - Owain Williams

Managers Player of the Year - Owain Williams

Most Improved Player - Toby Cleaver

Supporters Player of the Year - Flynn Gannon

Chairman Player of the Year - Ossian Owen

Committee Player of the Year - Ryan Jones

Special Goalkeeping Award - David Jones

Club Man of the Year - Adam Morris

The Club also presented a bouquet of flowers to Pam of the Royal Hotel for looking after the players and visiting teams after the match and to Sarah for all her hard work in the tea hut.

Both the Chairman, Will Huntley and Secretary, Alun Foulkes thanked all the players for their contribution and efforts throughout the season that saw the Club amalgamate 30 points out of 39 in the final run in of fixtures to finish 7th in the table. A special thanks was extended to Manager, Adam Morris for his unwavering efforts and dedication since taking over as Manager. Both Will & Alun also thanked the supporters (Dai Soar, Nige Smith & Nige Barlow who also attended the majority of the away games) and to all the Club Officials (Gareth, Budgie, John B, Rob) for their commitment throughout the long season to make it all possible.

The Club also confirmed that it is hopeful to have a Reserve/Development team in the Cambrian Tyres Aber & District League for Season 2026/2027 and the Dyffryn & Talybont JFC Under 14's will be playing the majority of their home games next season on the Wern Mynach.

Pre-season training will start in late June and the first pre-season friendly will see Warstone Wanderers from the Midlands visit the Wern on the 4th July. Further home matches will follow against local rivals Penrhyndeudraeth (7th), Anglesey side Llangoed & District on the 11th July and newly promoted Nefyn United on the 18th July.

As announced yesterday, the Magpies will have two teams next season. A First Team & Development Team.

This is to ensure more game time for our large squad, help develop players, and create more competition within the club.

If you’d like to join, please come and join our pre-season training. We’re looking for players who are committed throughout the season.

If you turn 16 during the season, please still come, as opportunities will become available.
