The last four five photos are the before!!
I’ve said before that a jacket will sort of “talk” to me and instantly I know what to do on it. Although Punk wasn’t my thing back in the day, it was the only thing that I thought about when looking at this jacket.
Millie, my daughter, found this vintage Gin Rummy jacket in Plymouth when we went together in April. I just said oh that looks ok (I wasn’t convinced !🤦🏽♀️) it was a brand I hadn’t heard of before. It had homemade cut outs and manufactures diamantés on it but it looked rough and unloved and I thought I could do something with it. The overwhelming thought I had was punk so here it is!!
I’ve splattered the jacket with black and white fabric paint. I’ve used purple and black tartan material that I found at the Community Scrapstore (it’s been washed and dried before use!) I’ve linked safety pins and handsewn them in from the “nose” to “ear” of the skull and used preloved lace for the skull, Oh and the zips work too! 👍🏻
