Bangor City 1876 FC can confirm that Interim First Team Manager Sean Eardley has stepped down from his position.

The Board of Directors would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Sean for his years of service, commitment and dedication to Bangor City 1876 FC. We wish Sean all the very best for the future and thank him for everything he has contributed to the club ๐Ÿ‘

While the Board continues the process of appointing a new First Team Manager, a decision has been made for First Team player Declan McManus to take charge of the team on an interim basis until a successful managerial appointment is made.

Martin Jones and Adam Lavender will continue in their current roles, supporting Declan during this interim period.

The trio will lead the team for this weekendโ€™s Welsh Cup fixture against Mold, as preparations continue for the important fixture.

The Board of Directors will continue to keep supporters updated across the clubโ€™s social media platforms and will communicate any further news as soon as it becomes available.

Our development side were away in action over the weekend, as they took on Pentraeth Development yesterday afternoon...

What started as a physical game with the host ensuring that a young Bangor team were in for a tough day at the office and would need to compete not just tactically and technically but physically we were put to the sword.

The hosts took an early lead within the first 7 mins but a team that doesn't give up pulled back 2 goals within 3 minutes to establish a 2-1 lead.

The young Bangor side then started to assume control of the game through effective and positive retention of the ball, against the run of play the host secured an equaliser. But again this team doesn't know when it's beat and a great bit of combination play seen us get a 3rd goal which took us into the HT break 3-2 up

At the start of the second half the game plan was to kill the game off early and get an early goal to ensure that the hosts would need to chase to get anything out of the match.

On the 64th minute we then increased our lead on the game, and only 3 mins later it was 5-2 Lucas Cruz securing his second hat trick in successive games.

We continued to knock on the door and chances came and went and eventually our persistence paid off with Archie Mcgrath getting the 6th and our final goal to cap off a dominant and ruthless 2nd Half.

Managers comments:

''Today was the next step in the development of this young and exciting team. Their ability to take on tactical instructions and execute a game plan is where they won the game today''

''They are starting to show great maturity beyond years which is exciting to think we are only 4 games in and still getting to know each other''

A great performance from Lucas Cruz, but he was pipped to the POTM by the young Archie Mcgrath.

Despite only turning 16 this week, Archie put in a physical and mature performance.
