Hi everyone,

Thank you to everyone who attended the meeting last night where we discussed the way forward for Deveronside Darts Academy. 🎯

We’re really excited about the plans going forward, and the following has now been agreed:

🎯 CLUB TIMES

Primary School age: 5.30pm–6.30pm
Academy age: 6.30pm–8.00pm (includes ages up to 18)

These times will remain the same.

🎯 JDC – ACADEMY AGE

We have agreed to join the JDC (Junior Darts Corporation) for our Academy-age players.

This will give the kids the opportunity to take part in weekly challenges, track their progress nationally and potentially qualify for some of the biggest events on the junior darts calendar.

We are going to trial this initially with the Academy-age group. However, if any of our Primary-age players would also like the opportunity to take part, please speak to us and we can arrange this.

Each week, Ryan and the team will upload the challenge results to the players’ individual accounts, allowing them to log in and see how they are progressing nationally.

JDC COST

The JDC programme runs in 8-week blocks at a cost of £48 per block.

• £32 goes towards the JDC programme
• £16 goes directly back into club funds

When we register for the first block, each enrolled player will also receive:

🎯 £50 voucher for a darts website
👕 JDC T-shirt
🎯 Set of flights

These arrive after the first 8 week block

Darts club starts up again on Tuesday 25th of August where we can have a practice then the JDC starts officially from Tuesday 1st of September and continuing for 8 week.

There is normally an additional £15 JDC enrolment fee, but we are delighted that the Grampian Darts Association has kindly agreed to cover this for all of our JDC participants this year, so there will be no additional cost to parents for this. A huge thank you to them for their support. ❤️

🎯 REGISTRATION

To allow us to register each child individually with the JDC, please send us:

• Email address
• Date of birth
• Nationality

🎯 WEEKLY CLUB FEES

Primary School age – £3 per session

Academy age – £6 per session

Academy sessions can still be paid weekly, although where possible we would prefer payment for the 8-week block to be made directly into the club bank account before the block begins.

Darts club has been on a break in the summer holidays but the lads have been away competing in the JDC north development tour. We have had 3 semi finalists in the comps so far.

That's the Deveronside Darts Academy accredited with the JDC . Will be a fresh start when we go back on the 25th of August and will have more structure and kids can go onto the JDC programme where they can then qualify for junior darts events all over UK. when we return from the 1st of September we have a 8 week block and the 2 best players in the jdc website from our club qualify for the British Masters in Milton Keynes. If that's not an insensitive I dont know what is. Remember that's us starting from scratch again and with us now affiliated with JDC every kid is on path for improving and when they reach their targets they get medals from jdc also we've teamed up with Winuma so if they do want to sign up they get a £50 online darts voucher straight away along with other freebie thanks to Winuma. Always room for more players so please feel free to get in touch if your child fancies trying darts. Doesn't matter ability as we all have to start somewhere. Can't wait to get back to action 25th of August at Deveronside Banff

Our junior most improved player of the month wee Aria Clark. Definitely one to watch for the future as her game has came on massively since she's started . Has a cracking throw and thanks to her dad who stays and helps very much appreciated

The kids have not long competed in their first competition and done really well. Going forward we need to get our own darts tshirts. We all rocked up in joggers and fitba tops but was told you only get away with that once need to be dressed smart hence we approached a darts online store to design tops for the kids. They will be £35 each but if I could get a couple local businesses to sponsor us at £250 each ilm be able ro bring the cost down by £5 per sponsor and save the kids money. Sponsors will get their logos on our shirts thanks in advance
