Last night saw Banchory Firebirds Ignite take to the court for their first match, facing a tough and competitive Aberdeen Asteroids side.

It was a challenging opening game, with both teams battling hard from start to finish. A huge well done to all our players for their effort, determination and teamwork! ❤️🖤

👏 Congratulations to our Player of the Match, Jordee McDougall! A fantastic performance and thoroughly deserved recognition.

👏 And a big well done to Aberdeen Asteroids for a hard-fought game and great competition.

The newly formed Banchory Firebirds team, Blaze, got their first match of the season off to a fantastic start with a 25–12 victory over Buchan Hail! 🏐❤️🖤

A brilliant team performance, great energy and plenty of determination from the first whistle. It’s always exciting getting a new team together, and the Firebirds showed some real promise in their opening game. 💪🔥

A big well done to Buchan Hail too - they played a great game and showed fantastic spirit throughout. 👏

No league pressure. No need to be an expert. Just netball, good company and plenty of laughs. 🧡

The new league season gets underway on Tuesday 1st September, with BOTH Firebirds teams in action on opening night.

And yes… there’s even a Blaze v Ignite Firebirds derby coming in September. 👀🔥

🏐☀️ LAST WEEK OF NETBALL BEFORE THE SUMMER BREAK! ☀️🏐

As we head into our final week before the summer holidays, we’d like to say a huge thank you to all our members for another fantastic year of netball with BFNC! ❤️🖤

Whether you’ve joined us at RecNet on Mondays or represented the club through our League Training and matches on Thursdays, your commitment, enthusiasm and support throughout the season have been incredible. 🥰

🟡 Monday Night RecNet

Our final RecNet session before the summer break is tomorrow night!

Please note there will be NO Monday sessions during the holidays - ad hoc Mondays may be arranged and we’ll let you know!

We look forward to welcoming everyone back when our regular Monday sessions resume in August.

🔵 Thursday Summer Sessions

Thursday sessions during the summer holidays will be open to all BFNC members, not just league players. This is a great opportunity to enjoy some extra court time and have some fun together. 🏐

Please note there will be NO Thursday sessions on 9th July or 16th July (the first two weeks of the school holidays).

After that, all members are welcome to join us for summer netball sessions. 💫

Thank you all for your support, friendship and dedication throughout the year. We hope you have a fantastic summer holiday and return refreshed and ready for another brilliant season.

A huge thank you to That Pancake Place for their incredibly generous donation of £200 to Banchory Firebirds!

We were absolutely delighted to receive such an amazing contribution. Support like this makes a real difference to our club and helps us continue to provide opportunities for our players both on and off the court. We are so grateful for your kindness, generosity and community spirit, and we can’t thank you enough. ❤️🖤

If you haven’t visited yet, we’d highly recommend popping in and showing them some support. From their delicious pancake creations to their fantastic coffee and warm welcome, it’s easy to see why they’ve become such a popular spot in Banchory.
