A few pics from the weekend!

After a night in hospital and a day off work, normal routine has commenced just in a lot of pain with the broken ribs and torn spleen but the headache has now subsided so that’s good!

Looking forward to getting back on the bike for some Friday night practises ready for the next round in a few weeks!

Long post alert, all the drama!!

Well where do I start with this one lol round 4 of the Stretton Circuit Karting - Leicester summer series didn’t quite go to plan!

Morning warm up was ok everything with the rebuilt engine seemed to go ok.

Qualifying was going great with good pace then a questionable move by another rider meant I ended up being taken out and resulted in some very sore ribs and some blurry vision, good old concussion 😂

After the sort of all clear from med team I got the “if you really want to but we don’t recommend it” my eyes were ok and I was good to go!

Race one, kept a steady pace mid to high 43’s which was slow but manageable! Got a 13th.

Race two, pain started to get a bit worse but again kept in the high 43’s still no where near pace and came away with another 13th.

Race three I spent just praying for the chequered flag. Could barely breathe from the pain and head was throbbing but wobbled round to finish in 10th which was a result.

11th overall on the day and I was happy with that all things considering!

Head stripped and new gaskets fitted, light weight race flywheel and digital ignition fitted and a new (very sexy) Nibbi carb installed!

Oil change and she will be ready for round 4 this weekend at Stretton Circuit Karting - Leicester!

Engine prep and rebuilds underway!! Let’s try and squeeze as much as we can out of it ready for the next round of Stretton summer series and then with a wind of good luck we can enter our first FAB-Racing round at the end of June!! See if we can run with the big boys!

What a round 3 (second round for me!)

8th overall, consistent times but lacking on power meant we were still falling behind! Making progress every time out which is a massive bonus!

Took a fourth place in some really crappy weather out on slicks in the wet before it was stopped!

Went into race 3 positive and lined up at the back of the grid and it wasn’t until I finished I realised I qualified 5th for that race!!! Rookie error cost me a lot of places but overall really happy with more champion points.

Huge thank you as always to the cheer squad Kayleigh Burton, Daryl Burton, mum and Logi.

Well done to keaton overy racing #93 for getting his trophy in a very odd weekend for him but played it like a champ!
