𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗵𝘆 𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁! 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟲 𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀! 🏆

On Saturday, the Bhoys headed to Assumption Grammar School for the Ballynahinch Youth invitational cup tournament.

As always, they played their absolute hearts out. They fought hard in every single match and made it all the way to the final.

After an epic battle, the boys took the win and proudly lifted the trophy! There were smiles all around, singing, dancing, and even a few tears of joy.

A massive thank you to our amazing coaches and parents. Thank you for giving up your Saturday to cheer the team on. We appreciate your support so much!

To celebrate, team sponsor Jack's Street Food Downpatrick treated the champions to an absolute feast of pizzas, chicken wings, chips, and smash burgers.

Our 2016 (Under 11) age group are returning to training this coming Monday & Wednesday at 6pm in Dunleath Park.

All abilities are welcome, along with new players interested in joining the club for the incoming season 🍀⚽

☘️ 𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗕 𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧- 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗗𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗢𝗣𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗠𝗘 ☘️

Celtic Bhoys FC Downpatrick are delighted to announce that in partnership with our friends at the Ballyhornan Family Centre that the first phase of our Facilities Development Programme will get underway this week with the upgrading of our club changing rooms.

The project will create a modern, functional and player-focused environment that reflects the ambition and identity of our club. Work is scheduled to be completed ahead of the new season, providing improved facilities for our players, coaches and volunteers.

This is just the first step in a programme of activity that will take place over the coming 12 months & beyond as we seek to deliver the wider vision for the future of Celtic Bhoys:

🏠 0-3 Months- Upgrading of the club changing rooms and clubroom.

🏟️ 3–6 Months: New spectator stand to enhance the matchday experience.

⚽🔋 6–9 Months: New sideline ball-stop fencing and the installation of EV charging points to improve facilities, sustainability and convenience for members and visitors.

🌧️ 9–12 Months: Covered standing area to provide additional comfort and shelter for supporters.

🚀 12 Months Plus: Further development including widening of the 3G pitch and additional spectator infrastructure.

These projects represent a significant investment in our players, supporters and community as we continue to build a club that everyone can be proud of.

This would not be possible without the generous support of the local community and sponsors as well as the tireless efforts of our club volunteers. Thank you wholeheartedly to everyone whose support and efforts are helping make these plans a reality.

𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗕 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧

Celtic Bhoys FC Downpatrick would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Neil Teggart and Christopher Teggart, who have decided to step away from their first-team management roles at the club due to other commitments.

Everyone at Celtic Bhoys FC would like to express our gratitude to Neil and Christopher for their dedication, commitment and contribution over the past three years.

Since taking charge, Neil, Christopher and the wider management team have overseen one of the most successful periods in the club’s history. During this time and in our first season in the Amateur League, the club secured the Division 2C title before following that success with the Division 2B championship the following year, achieving back-to-back league titles and promotions.

The club also enjoyed a memorable run to the final of the prestigious County Antrim FA Shield in 2025, a significant achievement that reflected the progress made both on and off the pitch during their tenure.

Throughout their time at the club, Neil and Christopher demonstrated professionalism, leadership and a genuine commitment to Celtic Bhoys FC. Their efforts helped establish strong foundations for the future and played a key role in the continued development of the club.

On behalf of the committee, players and everyone associated with Celtic Bhoys FC, we would like to thank Neil and Christopher for everything they have done during their time with us. Their contribution to the growth and success of the club will not be forgotten.

While we are naturally disappointed to see them move on, we fully understand and respect their decision. We wish them both every success in the future and look forward to welcoming them back to Celtic Bhoys FC whenever the opportunity arises.

The club will make a further announcement regarding the future management of the first team in due course.

Congratulations to all teams that took part over the weekend, coaches and parents who offered continuous support throughout and to all the spectators who came along to enjoy the football on show.

Day 3 of our youth tournament continues today - with 2014 age group kicking off from 9am, followed by 2012 age group from 1pm..

Today will see around 360 young stars take to the pitches in Ballyhornan to show their talents.

We look forward to welcoming all clubs today once again for another action packed day of football.
