Ayr United Girls 16s travelled up to face Strathaven Dynamo on Saturday. A bright start from Ayr saw them taking a quick 3 goal advantage. Strathaven came back in the first half, pulling a couple of goals back before half time.

A good spell of pressure early in the second half resulted in Ayr scoring and controlling much of the game. Strathaven pulled a goal back late in the second half and were now pushing for the equaliser. Some good saves and from Emma in goals and last ditch defending saw Ayr come away with all 3 points.

On Sunday morning Ayr United U8s girls travelled to Kilwinning Sports club in this week's Fun 5/7s for a later 12 noon KO

After all the heavy rain it had finally stopped and the sun was out thankfully ☀️

All the teams observed a minutes silence on Remembrance Sunday prior to the games 🙏

Today the girls got a new challenge with all their games on the much larger 7-a-side pitches which was a great experience even for the younger players

The girls enjoyed the much larger pitches with a lot of great passing, accurate tackles, finding space and learning about keeping their positions with having more players

Lots of chances at goal but having great goal keepers at both goals they all came out winners ⭐⚽

Well done to all the girls for your brilliant efforts today - you should all be very proud of yourselves ⭐⚽👏

Glenburn 2013 U12 v Ayr United U12

The girls made the short hop to a miserable Prestwick Oval to play Glenburn.

Both teams observed a silence for Remembrance before the game.

Ayr continued to build on their recent good form despite the wet surface and horrible weather. Working hard in defence and always looking to move the ball and use the available width the girls played some excellent football. We were really strong in all areas of the pitch and the referee said it was a great game.

A special mention to our 3 stand-in goalies for the day, Scarlet, Keiana and Eirinn who did a great job of muddying the strip and also made some smart saves! Also to Sophia who played in 3 positions and is improving every week.

Ayr united reserves set off on their 258 mile round trip to play Forfar development in the SWF development league cup, a great display from both teams in the first half saw the teams go in 0-0 at the break, however it was ayr who came out to dominate the second and got their rewards.

Full time forfar 0-4 ayr united.

Our 18s took on Athena 18s last night under the lights up in Springburn. Overall a close physical game throughout however in the end Ayr came out on top with 4 goals within the final stages of the game to take the 3 points.

A women's football star will swap the pitch for the catwalk as she bids to land the Miss Scotland title.

Ayr United's Ruby McRae has made the final 10 of the glittering pageant, which crowns a winner later this month.

Ruby, of Tarbolton, said: "I applied thinking I wouldn't hear anything back. You never really see a women's footballer in a beauty pageant so I thought why not go for it?"

Ayr United U8s girls travelled to Ayr Rugby club in this week's Fun 5/7s hosted by Cambusdoon

Despite the cold and rain the girls all put a great shift today - lots of really good joined up passing with plenty of opportunities at goals - so many close shots 👏 at the other end there was solid defence & fab goalkeepers 👏 helping to keep score line down

The girls again had a turn of the 7s pitch and settled into this with much more confidence this week which is great for their development

Well done to all the girls for your brilliant efforts today and for braving the elements - you should all be very proud of yourselves ⭐⚽👏
