It's race week. After 2 weeks off we are back out at Whilton Mill Go Karting and Outdoor activities for round 4 of the UK Kart Series.

The Kart Championship Round 3 Whilton Mill Go Karting and Outdoor activities.

Overall an ok weekend with damage limitation. Ali had the pace but still some work to do after a confidence dip.

Ali dug in and got stuck in and started the weekend off with P5 in his qualifying group giving him an overall starting position of P7 out of the 41 entered and scoring a runner up in the privateer chase.

Q - P5 in group P7 overall
Heat 1 - P7 > P9
Heat 2 - P7 > P10

Super Heat 1 - P9 > P8
Super Heat 2 - P10 > P8

Final - P11 > P11 (2nd Privateer)

With the troubles of last week behind us we now prepare for this weekend. We are heading back to Whilton Mill for round 3 of the The Kart Championship. Sunday will be live streamed on YouTube. 👍🏼

Wera Tools British Kart Championships 2026.

An amazing weekend being part of a brilliant championship. Experiencing the top level of British Karting has been a dream especially as a privateer. We entered the weekend full of confidence and excitement with a strong grid of drivers, with driving standards and racing being top notch.

Unfortunately for us the excitement disappeared. Being knocked out at the start of heat 1 on Saturday was the beginning of a weekend to forget which should have been a weekend to remember. After a bad qualifying on Sunday Ali worked his backside off to carve through the field to rescue the weekend working his way through into p14 out of 26 for the final. After a great start and making a load of positions Ali found himself on the outside and was forced wide onto the grass causing a spin and for him to be beached. Ali showed grit and determination trying to drag his kart which is twice his weight off the grass to get going again, unfortunately by this time going a lap behind the whole field. He stayed strong and finished the race, not giving up, that as a dad made me so proud with new found respect and he proved how much he wants to succeed in one of the most challenging, demanding and cruelest sports there is. There were tears but moments like this make a driver stronger and more determined.

We won't give up and we will push forward and go again for the next round of the 2026 Wera Tools British Kart Championship from Larkhall international kart track in June.
