Yesterday Tigers headed over to Willowbrook to take on a newly formed Whipton Wanderers for their first ever friendly games.
The boys played well trying to navigate the heavily defensive opposition in their first match and Hunter managed a few comeback goals to nearly level the score, but sadly ended on a very narrow loss, something we don’t see happen often with the boys.
In the second game the boys came out ready for redemption and found the back of the net 5 times in the first 5 minutes of the game, and the momentum didn’t stop from there. They were back with a solid bang and took the well deserved win from match two.
Coaches player went to Freddie and Parents Player went to Hunter. Well done boys, it was a great morning watching you as always 🧡COYT 🐯

Tigers trophies this weekend went to Freddie as Parents Player against West Hill, and Max as Coaches Player. Today’s Parents Player against West Exe was Albie, and Coaches Player was Jackson!

What a weekend of football for our Tigers!

On Saturday Tigers drove to West Hill to play the West Hill Wasps. Taking home an amazing win from a really tough game.

Today Tigers played a home game on the 3G against West Exe. After a tough first quarter they come back with a really good win, even in the heat.

2025-2026 PRESENTATION 🏆

This morning the Axminster U7 Tigers and Panthers gathered for their presentation. All of the boys were given medals for their tremendous amount of effort and commitment for their teams this season. For training and playing in all the British weathers, and for never giving anything but their all.

A big thank you to the parents for travelling near and far, and always showing up for the boys week after week, it doesn’t go unnoticed and is really appreciated. Another thank you to Scott for refereeing the matches this season, it’s not easy putting up with those boys on the pitch but they love you. The biggest thank you to Josh, Adam & Jack for coaching the boys all season, they appreciate you more than you know.

Tigers played a total of 37 games before tournaments started, winning 32, drawing 4 and losing just the 1.

The Tigers all received trophies alongside their medals and they were:

Impact player of the year - Freddie.
Playmaker of the year - George.
Golden boot for most goals scored - Hunter.
Most improved of the year - Dex.
Parents player of the year - Brody.
Players player of the year - Max.
Coaches player of the year - Ryan.

Panthers trophies were given as follows:

Most improved player of the year - Stefan/Tom.
Parents player of the year - Jayden.
Players player of the year - Harnoor.
Coaches player of the year - Toby.

We are so proud of the season you have had boys, and cannot wait to see what magic you continue playing next year as U8’s! COYT 🧡🐯
