🔴 LEGION 5-1 SAXON ATHLETIC 🔴
Another solid performance from the Legion lads as they continued their impressive run with a convincing 5-1 victory over Saxon Athletic.
Legion got out of the blocks quickly, with the in-form Thompson firing a shot from the edge of the box early on.
The second came soon after, with Thompson finding the net again with a clever finish.
Legion controlled the game throughout, creating openings and chances at will. A clever ball directly from centre-half Fox bounced over the opposition defender, allowing Thompson to get in behind and head the ball over the onrushing keeper to complete his second hat-trick in as many weeks. 🎩⚽
Legion weren’t finished there.
Thompson turned provider, laying the ball off on the edge of the 18-yard box for Jack Price, who calmly slotted home past the stationary keeper.

Legion came out a little slower in the second half, taking around 10 minutes to find their rhythm again. The pace of the game dropped, but Legion remained firmly in control.
Jones & Evans continued to dictate proceedings in the centre of the field, keeping Legion ticking over and controlling the tempo.
Then came a moment of controversy…
A foul on Evans saw him hit the deck like he’d been shot by the Ridge Lane Community Sniper 🎯🤣 and the referee pointed to the spot.
Up stepped Thompson.
He made no mistake, rounding off another brilliant day at the office with his FOURTH of the afternoon.
An all-round brilliant performance from the lads once again, with plenty of positives to take from another convincing result.
