Step back in time and try your hand at a proper piece of British pub history!
The Tameside Bell Target Air Rifle Club is heading to
The Halfway House on Whiteacre Road for an afternoon of traditional bell target shooting.
This fantastic 19th-century game is all about precision, steady hands, and good old-fashioned pub atmosphere.
The goal is simple: shoot a pellet cleanly through the tiny center hole of a steel plate. Get it right, and you will ring the internal bell! 🔔outside of the bell 🔔 scored at 5 4 3 and 2 .
Whether you are a seasoned pro or just want to try something completely new while enjoying a pint, everyone is welcome.
It is just a fiver to have a go, but spaces are limited so you must secure your spot in advance.

Steve Davies again winning the day with a new personal best overall score of
(155 points) scoring 4 bells
🔔 🔔 🔔 🔔 and matching his highest score in 5 shots of (24 points) while
Darren Davies achieving a new personal best overall score of
(143 points) scoring one bell 🔔 also achieving a new personal best score in 5 shots of also (24 points) .

It seems the rifels are settling down nicely now with just the odd unexplained stray 😀

Darren Davies after a disastrous first 2 rounds (there's no coming back from that) scored a dismal (129 total points) 😄 scoring 3 bells 🔔 🔔 🔔 and a new personal best of (23 in 5 shots) .
All in all a great days shoot
(The rifels are still bedding in with diseling ect but will be ready for June) we are looking forward to seeing you all at the Halfway House - 1893 in the near future 🔔

Amazing shooting by Steve Davies today with a whopping overall score of (150 points) with 4 bells 🔔 🔔 🔔 🔔 (plus 2 in practice) also raising a personal best to (23 points in 5 shots)
While Darren Davies equalled highest score of (124 points) scoring 1 bell 🔔 also raising personal best to (22 points in 5 shots) .
Rifles are settling down nicely now with maybe 200 shots through each of them .
Steve has set a real standard ! That is going to be hard to beat at our novice level . Game on 😉
