When it comes to losing weight some factors matter more ….

Heres one …. Consistency.

One week you’re all in—meal prepping, working out, feeling great. The next week, life happens. Meetings pile up, family needs attention, and your well-laid plans fall apart. 😩

Three years ago, I started my journey as a personal trainer in my local park…

Picture this:

Covid in full swing, freezing temperatures, smashing out those 6am sessions in the pitch black of winter with only a flashlight.

No matter what clients pushed themselves and we got results and I loved my job!

Fast forward to today.

I now have my own state-of-the-art studio.

No more battling the elements.

Just a dedicated space for optimal training.

My client base has grown exponentially.

I’m surrounded by motivated individuals committed to their health journeys.

I’ve also developed and am growing my online coaching service which is allowing me to help more people, regardless of location.

While I was immensely happy training in the park, I wouldn't strive to go back to it now because it signifies how far I've come.

Embracing change and evolving with it has allowed me to find deeper satisfaction and continue progressing in my career.

I share this with you to hopefully inspire your own journeys health and fitness related or not.

Just as I found joy in each step of my path, I encourage you to celebrate every milestone, no matter how small.

This myth has been around for decades, but it’s time to set the record straight.

The real culprit?

Sugar.

For years, we were told to avoid fats to stay slim and healthy.

But fat isn’t the enemy. In fact, healthy fats are essential for your body. They support brain health, hormone production, and even help you feel full longer.

Here’s the truth:

Healthy Fats are Beneficial: Foods like avocados, nuts, seeds, and olive oil are packed with nutrients and can aid in weight management.

Sugar, on the other hand, is the killer of your health and weight loss goals.

So 1 month ago I underwent hip surgery …

As a personal trainer and someone always on the move, this surgery was a major wake-up call and as always an opportunity to learn some important lessons.

Here’s 6 things I have learned that can be applied to anyone facing their own challenge right now or just need a little boost:

📌 Slow Down: We often get so caught up in our busy lives that we forget to listen to our bodies. This surgery made me realize the importance of slowing down and paying attention to what my body needs. Believe it or not running ultra marathons has its downsides!

📌 Gratitude: I found a new appreciation for the small things—simple movements, daily routines, and even the ability to walk without pain.

📌 Mental Resilience: Recovery wasn’t easy. There were days of pain and frustration. But each day, I focused on building my mental strength, knowing that this phase was temporary.

📌 Support System: I leaned on my family and friends more than ever. Their support was crucial, and it reminded me how important it is to have a strong network around you.

📌 Setting New Goals: This experience gave me the opportunity to set new, realistic goals for my health and fitness journey. It’s not about bouncing back but coming back stronger.

Seed oils like rapeseed, sunflower, corn, soybean and canola oil are everywhere—in dressings, sauces, and mostly all processed foods.

I dare you to check your cupboards!

Here’s why seed oils are seriously bad for you:

📌 Highly Processed: Seed oils undergo extensive processing, which involves high heat and chemicals. This process strips away nutrients and introduces harmful compounds.

📌 Inflammation: These oils are high in omega-6 fatty acids, which can promote inflammation in the body. Chronic inflammation is linked to various health issues, including heart disease and obesity.

📌 Oxidation: When seed oils are heated, they oxidize easily, creating free radicals. Free radicals can damage your cells and accelerate aging.

Here’s what you can do to avoid them:

Backed by plenty of studies …. INTERMITTENT FASTING is proving to be a powerful tool to not only help you lose weight but also lead a healthier life.

I can personally back this up as I live and breathe it myself.
