One of the most powerful things female powerlifters bring to the sport is inspiration. Young girls are no longer seeing strength as something just for men they see it as something they can achieve, too! 💥

🔥 Let’s Talk Deadlifts! 🔥

The deadlift is one of the best exercises you can do—so why should you be doing them? Here are just a few benefits:

✅ Full-body workout Targets multiple muscle groups in one movement
🤝 Increases grip strength Essential for lifting and everyday life
🦵 Strengthens legs & lower back Build power from the ground up
🏋️ Minimal equipment needed Just a barbell and weights!
📏 Doesn’t require much space Perfect for home or gym training

**But won’t deadlifts damage my back?** 🤔
Not if done correctly! If you’re struggling or experiencing pain, consider:

After all the training, all the practice… I still fell over on the day! 😅 It happens! No matter how much we prepare, sometimes things just don’t go to plan.

But here’s the thing mistakes are lessons. I can guarantee I won’t make that mistake twice! And that’s why having a coach who understands, supports, and helps you learn from these moments is so important.

Last weekend, I attended the **British Powerlifting Level 1 Coaching Course**, and it was an incredible experience! 💪 I met some amazing people and learned so much to help lifters perform at their best.

If you have an IPF powerlifting competition coming up, ask yourself:
✔️ Where is your competition? Do you know the venue and travel details?
✔️ What time is your weigh-in? Are you prepared and on track for your weight class?
✔️ Does your coach know the rules and commands**?
✔️ Are they familiar with approved kit regulations?
✔️ Do you have the right support to step on the platform with confidence?

💪 About Me – Your Strength Coach

Hey! I’m Gemma, a 43-year-old mum of three who found my passion for strength training seven years ago. Since then, I’ve competed in both Powerlifting and Strongwoman, and now, I’m dedicated to helping others discover their own strength!

I know what it’s like to start from scratch, to feel intimidated by the weights, and to push through challenges. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to coach, support, and empower others on their journey to getting stronger – inside and out.

🟣 You get a new programme from a new coach your really excited and then you think what does some of this mean 🤯
⚫️ You may feel embarrassed or silly to ask what something is.
🟣 It is perfectly normal to not know what everything means and some coaches use different abbreviations even i would have to ask if its something i havent seen before.

📖 when i give a client a programme they will also be given all the tools they need to understand it, and i will always be around to answer any questions no matter what they are!😊
